How can extracurricular activities help children's physical and mental growth?

It’s beneficial for children to participate in extracurricular endeavors such as sports, music, dance, coding, photography, creative writing, and more, as they foster both physical and mental development. For instance, involvement in sports not only enhances physical fitness but also contributes to overall growth and development. Through regular practice, children can not only improve their physical stature and strength but also lay the groundwork for potential careers in the sports industry, whether as athletes or in various professional roles like coaching or training. Beginning early and maintaining consistent effort can pave the way for expertise in their chosen athletic pursuits.

Do children today like extracurricular activities or do their parents force them to participate?

My opinion in this regard is that yes, children like extra curricular activities more than anything else because at a tender age, children have more tendency towards playing and enjoying rather than sparing time towards studies and all. Having passed through this phase of life, I personally would like to say that children by themselves get involved in extra curricular activities more than anything else, and parents do not need to force children, towards such activities .It’s a part of nature that everyone wants stability without bearing any pressure and same as the case with children who don’t know what to do with the studies and always want to spend time enjoying and remaining sound and agile.

Is extracurricular activity necessary for children?

Of course, yes, extracurricular activities help a child become agile, fit and sound not only in the childhood, but for the rest of their lives. It is Extracurricular activities that makes a child know about the different moves and strategies to be adopted in the life later on. I myself can deduce out various solutions to different problems from the extra curricular activities I have been involved in right from my childhood. Moreover, a child must be given full time for such activities in his childhood because it makes a balance in life and I think childhood is more for such activities. We must not unnecessarily over burden the children with the school syllabus and must give them freedom to get involved in extra curricular activities.

Which are the best extracurricular activities for today's children?

There are a lot of games that are being played these days and as we have the media at our assistance, we can know about more games and their proper ways of playing. In our childhood days, we needed to brainstorm for days and then come up with new games and their new ways of playing, but in today’s world, children can know not only about different games from the digital media but also their way of playing. The diversity of games children have today could lead them getting involved in various types of activities which helps in their overall growth. I’m always of the opinion that children must be given opportunity and space to get involved in some extra curricular activities because it not only helps them to enjoy their childhood, make memories for life, but also helps them to develop themselves for the upcoming challenges In life.
In today’s world, a lot of fields exist, which can prove to be perfect extracurricular activities for children like cricket, football, Kabaddi, badminton, tennis, dancing, singing, various types of arts, coding et cetera.

Conclusion

Extra curricular activities help child not only to be physically fit and have a good stature, but also in the modern times helps a child to develop his career in his favourite pursuit. Extra curricular activities help children to forget for sometime the academics and help them to some time for what they like the most. It is the extra curricular activities from which we can deduce the interest of our children, and then we can help them to develop in that field.

Activities like music dance art Indoor sports and out sports are very helpful for the physical and mental development and growth of children as well as agree with the concept that that teenage and specially at age from 1 to 15 years children always have high level of tendency to play with each other and to stay involve in extra curricular activities because they don't have too much responsibilities and they don't have practical life that's why as they have childish mind so they always love to play with each other.

Well written!!

Good luck 🤞

Thank you for stopping by. Childish mind is so tender that it can be moulded the way one might want,it is necessary to allow them showcase what they like the most and help them excel in that field.

My pleasure to visit your post and I extremely agree with you that mind of a children is very tender so if you are continuously motivating your children without knowing their own interest then sometime your children would you feel it as a pressure so first there is a need to let your children free and Independent to do anything of his own choice if it is not harmful for him.

Yes, i completely agree with you.You truly have good insights into the way a child must be given freedom and the way a child must be raised.

Thanks for responding again 😊

I appreciate your feedback 😃
Stay blessed 💕

Hey there! I totally agree with you on the importance of extracurricular activities for children's growth. From personal experience, I believe kids naturally enjoy these activities and shouldn't be pressured into them. It's all about fostering their interests and letting them thrive. Great insights

Extracurricular activities are learning for children. Studies involves memorising words but this involve practical work. Practical experiences leave more influence on kids then studies. As you said it brings and tells children new strategies and skills. Sports games like cricket, football ⚽️ and kabaddi helps them to grow and learn new tactics. It also boosts their immunity and strength. Contributes against mental problems like, stress and anxiety

Yes indeed you are absolutely right, extracurricular activities are a part of life when it comes to generating the ability of composure in tough and challenging situations. A person who really give time to such activities hardly gives space to anxiety and stresses.
