The diary game. Better life with steem. A Day of Duty, Disruptions, and Relief

I had set an alarm on my phone to wake up early, as I had gone to bed a little later than usual and felt I might not be able to get up on time. Thankfully, I managed to wake up and went straight to offer the morning prayers without wasting any time. After spending some peaceful moments at the mosque—bowing and prostrating before the Almighty, making supplications, and meditating to establish a divine connection—I returned home.

I then did some physical exercise in the backyard, as the weather was clearer compared to the earlier part of the week, which had mostly been overcast with a noticeable drop in temperature. After exercising for a while, I went inside and had my breakfast. Soon after, I left to spray growth regulators on the apple trees in one of our orchards. I carried the battery-operated drone pump with me, but unfortunately, after completing only half the work, the battery drained completely. With no charge left to continue, I had to return home, as I also needed to leave for my office.

Today, I had to visit the central headquarters of our district in Budgam town to get my attendance endorsed by the competent authority. Since I am currently posted in a different department on special duty, my parent department requires this endorsement before processing my salary. However, the officer authorized to sign my attendance was in a meeting with the District Development Commissioner, and despite spending the entire day there, I couldn’t complete the task. By around 4 PM, I finally decided to head back home.

On the way, I stopped for a haircut, as I had been meaning to get one for some time. I get quite uncomfortable with long hair and a beard, so I prefer to keep them trimmed regularly. I had to wait for a while at the barbershop, as the barber was busy, and it was only after 5 PM that my turn came. Thankfully, he did exactly what I had asked for.

While returning home, my brother called and informed me that my mother wasn’t feeling well and that I needed to reach home quickly so we could take her to the nearest hospital. I grew anxious while driving back, but upon reaching home, I found her in a relatively stable condition, which brought me immense relief.

After having a quick cup of tea, I took my mother to the nearest hospital. The doctors examined her and prescribed some medication, which provided temporary relief. Some tests were advised, though not all could be conducted at that time. It was a tense and anxious period, especially while waiting for the reports, as negative thoughts kept creeping in.

It was quite late at night by the time we completed the necessary tests and showed the results to the doctor. Thankfully, the doctor reassured us that there were no serious complications, which was a huge relief. By then, I was completely exhausted from the long and eventful day, barely having the energy to move around the hospital. We finally returned home, and after having dinner, I went straight to bed.
