The diary game. Walking Through Snow: Faith, Family, and Daily Duties
Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.
I was pretty quick to get up very early in the morning because not only did I have to offer the morning prayers on time, but I also had to do other work that had become complicated due to the recent snowfall, like going out very early to buy bread. We usually consume tea along with special bread here in the valley, and going through the snow was no less than a task for me. So I got up early, purified myself by performing ablution, and then went for the morning prayers at the nearby mosque. The devotees were very few because of the snow, which had made the roads slippery, and walking on them early in the morning was quite difficult. After praying, I went to buy bread from the nearby bakery.
After returning home, I sat near the gas heater until it was time for breakfast. My mother had already woken up very early and was in the kitchen preparing breakfast for all of us. Sometime later, I went outside to help my family by making pathways to different corners of our house premises. We require different items at different times, which are placed in various locations, so making paths to every part of the house premises is quite important. We have a store constructed outside our house at a distance of about 20 to 30 meters, where we usually keep our things. Making access to the store easy and fetching items from there through the snow was important, so I did it very early.
After some time, I had a cup of tea, which helped warm me up. Then it was time to burn some firewood to heat the water tank because there was a power cut due to a fault in the transmission lines. It was necessary to heat water that could be used throughout the day for ablution and other household chores. After having my lunch at around 1 PM, I went outside to visit my friend who runs a shop in the main market of the village. It is our usual spot to sit and share stories with friends, and it is the only shop we regularly visit because it is run by our friend, who does not mind our presence. I sat with him for some time. He enjoyed some smoking, and then he had to leave for his place to make some repairs. After that, it was time for me to leave the shop.
I then headed towards my maternal home, where I met my maternal uncle just outside. For that reason, I did not go inside and returned from there. Next, I went to another friend who runs a shop in a different part of the village. When I reached there, I found that it was not my friend but his nephew at the shop. I spent some time with his nephew and enjoyed some special winter items that we usually consume. Then it was time to return home.
On my way back, I met another friend, and we decided to spend some time together. We went to our friend’s shop, where we sat for a while and enjoyed some tea, which we asked for from his home. After that, I headed back home again. It was important for me to be with my family because we usually need to buy some items from the market late in the day, and I take it as my responsibility to go myself so that no one else has to walk through the heavy snow.
Later, I went to the market again, and it was also time to help the authorities with the restoration of power. Other areas had already received electricity, and only our part of the village was without power due to some issue that the officials were already addressing. After offering the evening prayers, I returned home, had my dinner, and called it a day after spending some time on social media.
Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
