Steemit Engagement Challenge S11/W6 | “Most Popular Game of My Country - CRICKET”

Today I am going to participate in another Steemit engagement Challenge, season #11, Week #6 contest which is organized by Hindwhale Community and the theme for this week is about the favourite game/sports of my country, and in case of my country its all about cricket.

The most popular game in my country is cricket, to be honest. Cricket is the most popular game in my country although there are many other games which are played, but mostly cricket is played by the younger and older men in the country will I have to specifically say this because mostly men play the cricket and for women, there are other sports like badminton and the games which are Mostly played indoors.

Cricket is mostly popular in the mainstream cities and even in the villages because I belong from our village and cricket was the most popular game in our village that is because cricket is very easy to understand there is no science behind it and because cricket is the most watched sports in my country that’s why all the kids watch it and when they become teenagers they start playing it Looks series are available easily and most of the people try to make the cricketers on television.

The biggest reason of cricket being the most popular game is that I would rate between Pakistan and India because I am from Pakistan and when these two teams come together and play against each other, that is considered to be the cause of celebration, and if you don’t watch that game, that’s like you’re not a part of the country, so everyone watches the game and then that fascinate them and they start playing it themselves.

One of the reasons why cricket is so easy to play is because it doesn’t require a huge ground or a place. If I tell you my personal story, I have seen people playing cricket in a very tiny place where only a few people could fit in. I have played cricket with my family in our home. It's like our go to game, we used to play when the cousins come around. So yes, cricket is the most popular game in my country.

Cricket is a very popular sport in the world. And yes it is played internationally. There are many championships like the world T-20 World Cup, so basically it means that there will be 20 overs for each team and before that it was supposed to be 50/50. The 50 overs is different from the 20 overs cricket has many of its leagues, like every country has their separate league in which there are many teams playing against each other, and for that they bring cricketers from all around the world. There are some really big countries involved in international cricket.

The most famous and successful team in international cricket is Australia because they have won about five World Cup and there are many other countries like India, Pakistan, England, New Zealand and many other countries, which are the part of International Cricket Council, which is known as ICC and then every country has its own international board, which is connected with ICC And then they control all the cricket in their country.

So every country has their own league and that could be considered is a championship because many of the player come from overseas and for them it’s international here there are many other leagues played in different countries which I cannot remember right now, but yes it’s an international sport and there are many championship like T-20 World Cup, There are test matches World Cup and there are many other championships for cricket internationally.

Pakistan is one of the best cricket players in the world, and I’m not saying this because I’m a Pakistani. The world has accepted that Pakistan has some of the best fast bowlers in the whole world, even the first Pakistan has the record of the most number of fast bowlers, and the first ball in the whole world was Shoaib Akhtar and after his retirement, He is still one of the fastest bowler in the whole world so Pakistani players are mostly famous for its bowling yet, you can never ignore the batting players, because now if you go and look at the top 10 T-20 players Pakistani players are on number two.

Babar Azam is the most recent example, because he is the most famous cricketer, and he is one of the best players that Pakistan has. He is a batsman and he comes number one in the betting in the whole world.

There are some other players I would like to include these days, Shaheen shah Afridi is one of the best Ballers, these days that Pakistan has, and he is considered, is one of the best voters in the world. Then Pakistan has Naseem shah. He's also one of the best bowlers with a very good bowling technique, and he is considered to be one of the best players as well.

Sadly that’s not the case, cricket is not the national game of Pakistan cricket is just so popular that most of the people think that cricket is the national game of Pakistan. Well that’s not the case, hockey is the national game of Pakistan but most people don’t know about that because hockey is not that popular in Pakistan.

Yet I would like to include that Pakistan is also good at hockey and Pakistan has won many of the championships in hockey as well. But due to the popularity of cricket people do not really focus on their national game and it is not often played locally as cricket.
