Yesterday, I visited a shopping mall called D-Mart to purchase some household essentials. Since the heat is intense here, malls like this tend to be quite empty during the daytime; indeed, when I visited, the crowd was sparse.

First, I asked my son to fetch a shopping trolley. Upon entering, I observed that the ground floor was organized into distinct sections featuring groceries, cleaning supplies, stationery, kitchenware, and utensils. After browsing through these areas, I selected a bathroom cleaner and some soap from the cleaning section.

Next, as my priority was to purchase bedsheets and pillows—which are located on the upper floor—we took the trolley and rode the elevator up. There, the merchandise was neatly arranged into sections for bedsheets, pillow covers, pillows, bedding accessories, and clothing for men, women, and children. Slippers and coats were also on display on the same floor.

After looking around, I proceeded to find the bedsheets I needed. Since we have two queen-sized beds at home, I looked for bedsheets suitable for that size. I found a bedsheet set—consisting of one queen-sized sheet and two matching pillow covers—priced at 500 rupees. I decided to go with that option and selected three such sets. Afterward, I picked up three additional sets of pillow covers (totaling six covers) and four pillows. Each pillow was priced at 499 rupees; they came compressed and sealed inside a plastic cover, and I was particularly impressed by how they expanded to their full size once the packaging was opened. I then selected two additional pillow covers for the house. Finally, we went to browse the clothing section, specifically looking at tops; however, I didn't find anything I liked there. Although the prices were low, the fabric quality was poor, so I decided to skip those items and instead looked at the shorts available there.

We headed to the designated section, where I picked out a pair of shorts for myself, a shirt for my son, and a pair of shorts for my husband. Afterward, I browsed through the various items displayed there. At that moment, my husband picked up a blazer, tried it on, and found that it fit him too tightly. Since the weather here is quite hot, wearing blazers is not a common practice, so we decided against purchasing it. Having gathered our selections, we then proceeded to the Ladies' Accessories section to browse through the decorative items available there—specifically, hair clips and other accessories for women.

The hair clips and hair bands were absolutely beautiful, and there were many new arrivals. From the selection, I picked out three hair clips for myself and three for my daughter. They were arranged in sets of three, with each set priced at 73 rupees; this seemed both affordable and of good quality to me, so I decided to purchase them.

Afterward, we took the elevator down, pushing our shopping cart along with us. I considered whether we needed to buy any groceries but decided against it; however, I did pick up a five-liter can of cooking oil. When I checked to see if my son needed any stationery, I found that the notebooks he required were not available in the right sizes, so we skipped those as well. We then proceeded to the billing counter. Since chocolates were displayed near the billing section, and my son asked for two of them, we added them to our cart. After paying the bill, we stepped outside and bought some ice cream at the counter to enjoy. Once we had finished our ice cream, we left the premises and headed home.
