The diary game || Better life with steem|| A visit to water theme park
Hi friends,
Last Sunday, our family visited a water theme park in our town called "Kovai Kondattam." Since the weather here has been quite hot lately, we felt the need for some relief and coolness; consequently, we decided to visit a tourist spot to beat the heat, and that is how we ended up here. This is one of the most prominent water theme parks in Coimbatore. We particularly appreciate its affordable pricing and its proximity to our home; for this reason, it has become our custom to visit this park at least once or twice a year. I have previously written blog posts on Steemit about my many past visits to this park, and similarly, I am writing about this latest visit as well. I hope you enjoy reading it.
Since the theme park opens at 10:00 AM, we left our home early in the morning; however, we were only able to arrive by 10:30 AM. Immediately upon arrival, I headed to the ticket counter to purchase our tickets. I was informed that the ticket price was ₹800 for adults and ₹700 for children. During our previous visit, they had charged ₹700 for adults and ₹600 for children; it appears they are increasing their prices by 10% every year. Nevertheless, people continue to flock to the park. What can one do? In a large city like this, entertainment parks of this nature are few and far between.
After finally securing our tickets, we presented them to the attendant at the entrance, who then allowed our vehicle to enter the premises. We drove inside, parked our vehicle in the designated area, and proceeded to the changing rooms to change into our swimwear. I put on a blue T-shirt and track pants, while my husband and son opted for T-shirts and shorts. Although this theme park is relatively small in size, it features a wide variety of water games and attractions.
We first headed to a water play area that was designed with a "Pirate" theme; everywhere we looked, there were statues of pirates and various pirate-themed props and figurines. We enjoyed admiring all these details before diving in to play. The area featured both small slides and large, towering slides; we spent our time sliding down them and having a blast. After that, since we were unable to carry our phones with us, we left them inside the car and went on to play other games. In particular, one specific game was truly excellent, and we had a wonderful time playing it. While we were there, a group of school students also arrived; as there were over 200 of them, it was a sheer delight to join in and play alongside them. They were constantly shouting and cheering, which made us feel an urge to do the same; so, we joined in their excitement, shouting and playing right along with them.
Once we were finished, we headed to the shower area, which featured a massive, mountain-like setup designed to simulate a cascading waterfall; we went in, got thoroughly soaked, and played around there—which was also incredibly enjoyable. Afterward, we went on to try out various other water slides. Following that, we visited a private swimming pool area; its existence isn't widely known to the general public, but since we are regular visitors, we are well aware of it.

Since that swimming pool was situated in a very secluded spot, it wasn't widely known to the general public; however, because we visited regularly, we were well aware of its existence. It was our routine to go there and spend our time swimming and playing. Initially, I didn't know how to swim, but thanks to my frequent visits to this place, I eventually mastered the skill here. My son, too, became quite proficient at swimming.
Typically, if one visits a standard swimming pool to learn how to swim, they charge around 200 rupees per hour; however, we spent about four hours playing in this pool, so we felt that we had certainly gotten our money's worth from the ticket price. While we were playing there, another family arrived. Like us, their family consisted of a husband, a wife, and a child. They joined us and began playing as well, though they did not know how to swim; only the father of that family was able to swim, and he proceeded to teach his son right there in the pool. During our conversation, we suggested that they could easily learn to swim at this facility and encouraged them to visit frequently to practice. They agreed, saying, "Alright, we will do that."
Afterward, we headed off for lunch. Since we had already prepared and packed our food from home, we sought permission from the security guard on duty and sat in the garden area to eat. Usually, we make it a habit to purchase our meals from the canteen located on the premises, but on this occasion, we decided to skip that and eat the food we had brought from home instead. After eating, we rested for a short while, though my son didn't stay to rest; as soon as he finished eating, he immediately ran off to play.
As it was situated in a somewhat secluded spot, we went there to go for a swim. Initially, regarding swimming...

Later, we returned to the swimming pool to swim for a bit, and subsequently, we moved to a different area—specifically the water fountain section—to play some more. Following that, a magic show was performed there, and I even participated in it. Specifically, during the magic show, they called for a lady from the audience to come up to the stage; I stepped forward and went up. They performed a small magic trick involving me, after which I took a seat in the audience area and watched the rest of the show. The magic show they presented was truly excellent. Once the magic show concluded, we left to head back...
After changing out of our wet clothes and putting on some dry ones, we returned to play the "dry games." We started by trying out the various rides; since my son is afraid of heights, we decided to skip the rides that go high up. Instead, we enjoyed attractions such as the swings and the merry-go-round. Afterward, my son played on a horse-riding simulator, and then we took a ride on the toy train. From there, we moved on to the bumper cars and had a blast driving them around.
Next, we visited the rope-climbing area, where we enjoyed the thrill of climbing to the top. While I was up there, my husband took photos of me from below, which made me feel incredibly happy. We paused at various spots throughout the park to take more pictures before finally making our way out. As we were leaving, we were informed that the theme park was closing for the day. We felt a deep sense of satisfaction, knowing that we had made the absolute most of our day there, and then we headed home.
