The Dairy Game: Going To Church And Going To Visit An Old Sick Man(21-03-2026)

Hello besties, my name is Ekemini Edet, and my username on Steemit is kemkem1. It is a beautiful Sunday morning, and I am very happy because I will be going to the house of God, where there is fullness of joy. When I woke up this morning, the first thing I did was to pray and thank God before starting my daily activities. I did not really have much to do today, but the main task I had was to wash a paint rubber that was given to me. The rubber had dried paint inside it, so I had to spend some time scraping the paint out before washing it. It was not very easy at first, but I kept trying until I was able to remove the dried paint. After that, I washed the rubber very well until it became neat and clean. When I finished, I went to the bathroom to have my bath and prepare for church. Unfortunately, I did not have any food at home, so I could not eat breakfast this morning. After dressing up and making sure everything was set, I carried my bag and left the house, happily heading to church, feeling grateful to God for the gift of life and the opportunity to see another beautiful Sunday.

When I arrived at church, the service had just begun, and the song leader was leading the congregation in songs. The singing was very soul-lifting, and it made the atmosphere feel peaceful and joyful. Everyone was singing with happiness, and it felt good to be in the presence of God. The singing session lasted for about thirty minutes, after which the main church service started fully. All the items of worship were carried out in order. We began with praise and worship, which prepared our hearts for the rest of the service. After that, there was teaching from the Bible, which was very inspiring and easy to understand. The sermon followed, and the message encouraged us to keep trusting God in everything we do. After the sermon, the offering was collected, and everyone gave cheerfully. Then we had the communion, which was done in a calm and respectful manner. The entire service went well, and everything was done according to plan and to the glory of God. At the end, the pastor said the closing prayer, and the service came to an end, leaving everyone feeling blessed, happy, and thankful for a wonderful time in church.

After the church service dismissed, I was among the members that were selected to go and visit one of our church members who was sick so that we could pray for him. I called the people I was supposed to go with, and when everyone was ready, we left together. The description of the house was given to us, but none of us knew the exact location of the man’s compound, so we had to keep asking people around for directions. After asking a few people, we were finally directed to the right compound. When we got there, we met the man standing outside the house. We greeted him politely, and he welcomed us warmly and brought out seats for us to sit down. After we sat, he started explaining what happened to him. He told us that he fell from a ladder while he was trying to cut plantain, and that was how he got injured. We encouraged him with kind words, then we sang some songs together and prayed for his quick recovery. The church had also given us some money to support him, so we handed the money over to him. He thanked us for coming, and after that, we said goodbye and left his house.

From the man’s house, I was supposed to go straight home, but I remembered that I did not have any food at home, so I decided to stop at the market to buy a few things so I could cook when I got back. I bought garri, a small quantity of melon, a little fish, and some crayfish because I already had other ingredients at home. I did not have many things to buy, so I did not spend much time in the market. After buying what I needed, I went back home immediately. When I arrived, I went to shower first because I was feeling hot and tired from the day’s movement. After bathing, I went to the kitchen and prepared a small pot of soup with the things I bought. When the food was ready, I ate to my satisfaction and felt very relieved. Because the house was very hot, I went outside to receive some fresh air and relax for a while. That was all for the day.
