The diary game || Better life with steem|| Visited My Home Village After Long Time
Returning to my home village after years away felt like turning the pages of a cherished diary. The cobbled paths, the familiar scent of earth after rain, and the old neem tree by the well—everything whispered memories of childhood.

Stepping through the creaking gate of my family’s home, I was greeted by the warm embrace of my grandmother. Her smile, untouched by time, mirrored the stories she’d told me as a child.
The kitchen held the same clay hearth where she’d cooked lentil dal and steamed rice, filling the air with smells that instantly grounded me.
Wandering the village, I marveled at how much had stayed the same. The local market still buzzed with laughter and bargaining, and young children darted past, just like I once did.
Yet, subtle changes hinted at time’s passage—a new school, solar lights flickering at dusk, a few modern houses alongside weathered ones. Still, the essence of the village lingered in the rhythmic clatter of a blacksmith’s hammer and the melodic chants of the temple bell.

Reuniting with old friends and neighbors was heartwarming. Their stories of life, struggles, and small victories reminded me of the resilience and simplicity that define rural life. Sitting under the banyan tree, sipping sweet chai, I felt a profound gratitude for these bonds that anchor me.

Visiting home was more than a trip—it was a reminder of where I come from. In a fast-paced world, the village taught me the beauty of slowing down, cherishing moments, and honoring heritage.
It rekindled a sense of belonging, proving that some places never truly change… and neither do the hearts that hold them dear.
Where will your roots lead you?
Thank you to all of you.
