A warmest greetings to all my amazing steemians friends in diaspora and those from my motherland who are here in steemit ecosystem, I'm glad to have you once again in this community, how you all doing pretty good 😆😆, I'm also doing great as well.

Welcome to my blog on steemit once again, thank you for always engaging and having my back here, I feel honored.

Few months ago around July I talked about my new business owning a " Snail farm" , and I shared a post about my losses and you all supported me and encouraged me, so it won't be nice of me if I don't share the growth story of my farm with you guys.

So, after the losses, a lot of work as been done to keep the business alive through research, reading and watching online videos to augment my knowledge and its really works for me.
Here's one thing anymore who wants to embark in snail farm should know; Snail Farming needs patience because it as a slow growth, it takes about 18 months before snails could attain marketable size.

On tuesday, I carried out an important operation called sorting. Sorting can also be known as grading technique or system that's sorting or grading them based on size could be either big or small, age symbolize separating from the older ones. Initially, I was heaping all of them together with make them to cannibalize, the bigger ones swallowing the small ones and moreover, it didn't allow uniform growth because of difference in age.

So, carrying these particular operation has help me track my growth so far.

I started with 100 breeders snails, I lost some and today I have over 500 including growers and baby snails excluding the eggs in the incubator that's yet to hatch.
It as been amazing journey, although being faced with challenges initially, but gradually the journey is becoming smooth and sweet.

I now realize that success is sweet while failure is bitter.

Aside from growing snails to reach marketable size or table size, there are others opportunity embedded in snail farming such as selling of snail eggs, selling of snail feed, calcium supplement which is very essential for shell development, the shell of snails is their backbone, so they need calcium supplement in regular basis for proper shell development and growth. Another aspects is selling of babies snails, grower and (POL) point of lay snails, so putting all the aforementioned opportunities will make farming easier and faster because one does not need to wait for 18 months before started earning or making money in snailery or Heliciculture business.
