The Diary Game: Starting my new Year Attending Traditional marriage Celebration/ [ 2nd January, 2026]//

A warm greetings to all my amazing steemian friends in Hindwhale Community and my fellow brethren in my country Nigeria, I count it a great privilege to share my diary here. Once again happy new year and welcome to my blog in steemit ecosystem, I'm glad to know that you made it to another beautiful year 2026, yeah, let keep working together just like we always do in the past years.

Starting the year attending marriage celebration is sign that this year is bless with celebration and marriage is ordained by God, yeah doing it God's way is a blessing to the couples and people who are intending to also do their own.

Here's the entourage who Ushered in the Groom in the Traditional marriage

God ordained marriage in Genesis after the creation he saw that Adam was lonely and without companion and God said, I will make a helper suitable for you and when Adam was fast asleep he opened his ribs and brought forth eve and when Adam woke up he said this is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh she shall be called a woman because she was taken out of man. And these keep going from generation to generation uptil now our present age.

So, on Friday my handsome church brother decided to take a bold step by taking his lovely wife home by doing traditional right, but before this time a lot of things as been done like meeting the wife family members collecting the list and bargaining the list based on the agreement of the family members.
He has to settle the family members to pay bride price and everything that was agreed on the list on or before the traditional marriage and I believe it was done successfully.

So, while waking up on friday morning that was the second day of the new year, I actually woke late because I over ate food on 1st I couldn't fail to pray no matter the time I woke up so I did devotion and after went to check the church platform for messages concerning the movement to the venue for the marriage

Here's the message I got in the church platform so I decided to reach out to the church chairman requesting him to reserve a seat for me because I wasn't going to reach the take off venue I area was directly the same location the bus will pass, so after I finished I waited in a strategic location where they could easily see me and pick me up.

Here's where I was heading to wait for the church bus to pick me up, I was already notify on how the movement is going to be and I didn't want to keep them waiting so I reached around 12:30pm waiting for them to come, yeah, I waited for long they didn't come out on time reason being that they were waiting for others who couldn't come out at the exact time.

We got the the venue around 2:30pm but to my surprise nothing was done just very few people who was trying to locate their seats and live band was still trying to arrange their musical instruments

	Here's when we got to the venue meeting with few people.

So, we took our seats as a church while waiting for the commencement of the event, I took pictures with members whom I sat close because I didn't want to disturb anyone motive.

At about 4:30pm the event started with lively music and cultural display who feed us with beautiful dance steps, yeah, I love these particular style which have never seen it else where

	Here's when the father and mother of the bride came out to take their seats

After the bride's parent took their seat,the next item was presentation of different foods cooked by the bride's family to the groom's family assuring them that they have taught their daughter on how to cook each of food presented.

So, immediately after the presentation of the food, individual food were given I ate rice but there were other variety of food like porridge plantain, soup etc

It was already night when the groom and the bride came out to receive blessings from their parents and I had to flash my touch so that I could capture them

Since it was getting dark we entered our vehicle and disembark on our journey home, it was about 45 minutes drives and I finally got home almost around 9:30pm ,so I quickly freshen up and went to sleep.

It was fantastic celebrating with my dear brother.
