It is my pleasure to share with you my entry in this week's contest which is titled "HWC Contest #36|| POWERUP & WIN WEEK 27" which is organized by @jyoti-thelight. What an interesting contest it is.

Right now I'm delighted to share with you all a brief process that I used in the power up process of my Steem. As we already know, power-up is a wonderful program that is always advised by every community and the Steemit team in general. So I am joining other Steemians to show the process which I used to power up my token 11.887 Steem. Below is the step by step process and the screenshot for your perusal.

Step 1: Firstly, I login to my Steemit and properly signed in to my Wallet as seen from the screenshot below.

Step 2: Convert my 1.039 SBD to liquid steem by taking it to the market

The 1.039 SBD give me 17.424 steem

Then I click OK to confirm the limit order

After that process, my wallet now shows 11.887 steem as seen in the screen shot below

Step 3: Now is the time to Powe up. I Click on the drop-down menu close to the Steem and then click on power up as seen from the screenshot below.

Once I click power up, it display the below then I entered the total amount of seems I had that I want to power up. Then I click Power up.

Step 4: Final Step Of The Power Up

To complete the process of the power up, I then follow the instructions it ask me to convert to Vesting. Once that is done, my power up is completed

After the above process, the below screen shot shows my wallet and my steem power which is now 723.405 steem power.

The importance of performing power up.

The following are the importance of Powering up

• It help to grow my account and its strength.
• It fortify and improve my curation reward.
• It help me to support more users by voting on their publications.
• It help me to perform more functions on the platform such as becoming a moderator, a community curator and many more.

Those are some of the few reasons why Steemians need to consistently power up their account.
