A way to reduce world hunger naturally
This is something I love seeing all the time. What a good idea of land. Grass on your land is cool but this has more value
Most people enjoy having grass in their lawns because of the green colour, maybe it gives them a sense of health, nature purity and that it's right but with food prices increasing weekly, a lot of us are not able to eat anything produced from our yard.
The grass yard we have is taking up valuable growing space without producing anything that we can use. I see a lot of houses in my neighborhood with small yards.
They can produce things from their yard, like plantain and eventually harvest them. After harvest they'll have plenty for their family and could even freely give to neighbors and those that are hungry.
Some would argue that the yard's area's dirt is too dry to successfully grow vegetables without using a lot of water which would add to cost which makes me consider just how much water is really needed.
I think that regardless of the status of your yard, whether you've made it into a lawn or a vegetable garden, growing your own food is and probably always will be a better alternative to buying everything from the grocery stores.
There are so many right now that are starving because they are waiting for government solutions for hunger and economics, which are likely to a very long time and perhaps no solution may come. I had seeds to grow for my family last month but I was unable to get them planted because of some work duties, and because of that I have now allowed weeds to grow where I do not use the land. I'm not going to be too hard on myself for that though.
I only believe that if everybody had one tree producing fruit or vegetables or any useful crop, society would have less hunger. We may not completely eliminate hunger doing that, but we'll definitely reduce it. The land is wasted too much.
