Morning

Hello friends, by participating in this contest, I would like to share the day of October 4, 2024. It was my birthday.

My birthday started at midnight with a heartfelt greeting from my elder son through WhatsApp. It was a simple yet touching gesture.

In the early morning, I headed to the kitchen to make our tea. As my husband was still in bed after drinking my portion, I began preparing breakfast for my son's family and ourselves.

While I was cooking, my elder son surprised me with a lovely gift and a card. He hugged me warmly, which made my heart melt. While we were talking, my husband joined us in the kitchen to wish me well. That day, my phone had not time to breathe, because I got greetings from my siblings, relations, senior bosses, and coworkers of my former office.

After my typical workday and breakfast, I went to my son's place to bathe my newborn grandson. My daughter-in-law and her mother also greeted me warmly, which was a lovely moment.

While I was chatting with them, I got a phone call from Daraz.lk, informing me that there was a parcel for me. It was a gift from my younger son in the UK. That was another beautiful surprise! Later, I bathed my grandson, dressed him in fresh clothing, and gave him to my daughter to breastfeed. After spending a few time with them, I returned home.

Afternoon

As lunchtime approached, I made rice and curries for our meal. My younger son wished me in his bed over WhatsApp at 12.46 p.m., when it was still morning in the UK.

I missed two voice calls from my younger son at about 2.30 when we were having our lunch. But I was pleased that he had thought of me. After lunch, I spent some time on Steemit, responding to comments and posting a new blog. Then I went to bed and took a little snooze.

Evening

In the evening, my elder son ordered a special dinner from Uber Eats to celebrate my birthday. We all celebrated my birthday at their residence, as my daughter-in-law was unable to attend our place due to her newborn kid. My younger son also joined us online to celebrate the party. We had dinner and dessert together and spent a few hours with them, sharing our happiness.

We returned home at about 11.00 p.m. and I ended the day with a mix of joy and a little sadness, realizing that each year brings me closer to the end of this human life. However, my family’s love and warmth make my birthday unforgettable.
