Hello guys,
It's another day to grow our account and I'm delighted to be a participant in the contest organised here by @jyoti-thelight which encourages this growth.

Power up in Steemit is very important because it helps one to grow his or her account faster. So on this very day, I will always be powering up a few Steem in my wallet to increase my growth.

As you may have known, the process of powering up our Steem is always the same hence I won't be going into many details to explain the steps because I believe we all know the various steps so without further ado, let's go straight into the process.

Step 1: Enter your Steemit wallet and log in using your private active key. Be sure that your wallet is in the form of the screenshot below.

Step 2: Click on the drop-down menu that is close to the Steem token as seen in the Screenshot below and then select the power-up option as indicated in the screenshot.

Step 3: Enter the amount of Steem you wish to transfer to vesting. In my case, I want to transfer all 21.986 Steem so I click on it and then click on the power-up button as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 4: Confirm the transaction by clicking on the OK button if all is good to go. The screenshot below shows it all.

Step 5: Go back to your wallet and be sure that the amount of Steem you have transferred to vesting has been added. The screenshot below shows the before and after of the transactions.

Write the importance of performing powerup.

The importance of powering up our Steem can never be looked down upon because that is the only way we can grow on the Steemit platform. This is the main reason why this contest is among those repeated every week to encourage users to abide by the culture of growing their accounts.

Power-up is also important because users get to get more rewards when they have more SP. With a big SP, as a user, you will always earn more curation rewards when you upvote and support other users.

Also, you will have the privilege to participate in many activities on the Steemit platform such as being a curator, SR, and many more just to mention a few.
