Steemit Engagement Challenge S6/W1 - List Your Childhood Outdoor Games, Which are Not Famous Globally

Well firstly i want to congratulate the hind community, as they got selected in the steemit engagement program. As this is not a very old community. It was created a few monthes back & in such a short span it managed to reach a repo of 56. I want to congratulate all the admins mod's of the hind community

Coming back to the topic, i am a 2000's kid & back then when i was a kid there was no internet in our locality. So you can call me a pre- internet generation kid. Don't get me wrong, the internet was available back then but unfortunately or fortunately we had no access to that thing. We just were aware that internet is something that exists & there people connect with each other. Thats all the information i had about the internet. Unlike today's generation who are born with ethernet cable connected to them in place of umbilical cord.

MARBLES

Back when i was a kid, we used to play numerous games with friends and family but mostly we used to play with friends. So first in the game is a game called marbles, in my local language this game is called "BAANTA" & playing with them was called as "baantan gindun", nationally this game is known as "KANCHA". A KANCHA/MARBEL is a small 2-3 cm diameter glass ball with some design in the middle, mostly they were decorated others were plain. So the game starts like.

HOW TO PLAY

Well there are various ways to play this game but the one I like the most is explained below. Well in our case we used to dig a hole in the ground. Well the hole is not so deep. So after that thing, there are two things that one can do. The first one has to pot the marble in the hole.

The others are supposed to do two things, one can be hit the other marbles and pot them in the hole. All the marbles that are potted inside the hole are the marbles won. This us a very simple game. There is other way around also. That is the one who is closest to the hole wins the game & the marbles that get pitted inside the hole are the reward.

VISH AMRIT

This is also one of the game that I used to play as a child. This is a very simple game. A minimum of 5-6 players are neede to play this game as this can't be played between 2 or 3 player's. So what is done by a person is left out by some means like a toss or something. The one that is left out is a chaser & others are to save them selves from being caught from the chaser.

So what we do is a player gets to sit on the ground, and the others have to dodge or save themselves from the chaser. What one can do is go near the person who is sitting & call out amrit loud & he gets to sit on the ground & the person on the ground gets up and has to save himself from being caught.

This is how the game works in a way it's just a modified form of chase and run game. We can see in this image the girl with orange and pink clothes is sitting on the ground &and the boy with orange blue and white T-shirt is touching her & this with a boy gets to sit on the ground and the girl has a different herself from the chaser

So this were the two games that I wanted to share today. I also want to invite @aamir @amirbhat @jahangirkhanday to be a part of this community and share the two games that they used to play when they were kids.
