SLC22-W1 // Cold cake made from cookies - Marquise of Chocolate
Assalamu'alaikum everyone.
"Steemit Learning Challenge Season 22" has come among us with a vast learning experiences of pastry. Before attending this challenge I wasn’t the pastry maker. Watching the participation of every Seniors Steemian in this challenge I dare to attain it here. As a beginner, I may have many mistakes in my preparation but your honorable @dasudi and @lirvic mam rectified this in time of reviewing my post which actually helped me to get more ideas about the errors that I have made and also their commendable support always encouraged me to attain in this amazing challenge. I was eagerly waiting for the announcement of Season 22 after getting it I made up my mind and very nervously made an attempt to make this cold cake.

✓ Have you ever prepared any kind of cold cake made from biscuits? Tell us about your experience.
As a beginner of this class, I have no experience of making this cold cake earlier in my life. I wasn’t familiar with this cold cake before and it was a great experience for me. This is the first time I made it and Alhamdulliah it was delicious to taste. Being inexperienced I was confused about the quantity but I tried my best to follow the quantity as I learned from the pastry class.
✓ Make a marquise with the flavor of your choice, remember to be creative and original (detail utensils, ingredients and step by step).
I love chocolate so much and always tried to pick this chocolate flavor thing among all flavors. Without any further ado allow me to share my first time experience of making the Marquise of chocolate
𒆜 Ingredients For Cooking 𒆜
🎂 Step - 1 🍫
After arranging all the ingredients I put a pan on the stove. Then I put 80 grams of butter in it. When the butter melted properly then I put 100 gram of chocolate bar into it and kept it melting. I stir the chocolate and keep it mixing with the butter. Within a few minutes, the chocolate melted so well with the butter. When the chocolate texture is like this then I put down the pan from the stove.
🎂 Step - 2 🍫
In a clean pan I put one liter of milk into it. I keep it boiling.
After boiling the milk when the quantity becomes half of as 500 grams then I put the sugar in the milk.
🎂 Step - 3 🍫
I keep stirring the milk and add one tablespoon of Vanilla essence with it.
Hereafter I add 120 grams of cocoa powder to the milk. Then very well I mix it with the milk.
🎂 Step - 4 🍫
Then I add four eggs folks and stir very quickly so that no lamps can made into the milk. I keep stirring it very well.
Then I add the melted chocolate into it and stir it to mix it so well.
🎂 Step - 5 🍫
In the texture I added half cup of Cornstarch which made the chocolate a little thicker.
When the chocolate texture is like this then I put down the pan from the stove.
🎂 Step - 6 🍫
The chocolate becomes at room temperature then I put one layer into a transparent clean bowl. Then I dip the Marie biscuits into milk and put those on the layer of chocolate.
After that I again put a layer of chocolate and put the four biscuits on it. Then I put another layer of chocolate on it. This way I kept going to the end of the bowl.
🎂 Step - 7 🍫
After completing the layer into the transparent bowl I the lid on it. I put this container into the refrigerator for five hours.

After four hours when I put it down from refrigaretor and severing the cold cake into a plate.

At this end step for decoration I put some chocolate chocolate chips on it. I cut the Marquise chocolate cold cake and the internal texture was so beautiful.
Include a handwritten name tag with your cake containing your username and date .
With a blue pen, I wrote the course name and my user name along with today’s date. Then I put the token in front of my Cold cake made from cookies - Marquise of Chocolate.
✓ Did you encounter any difficulties in making your cold cake?
Yes, I’ve not experienced earlier making of this cold cake. So doing this challenge I faced some difficulties which I would like to mention below.
- I added the four egg yolks without whisking them. This was a major error according to me. For this, I need more effort to mix it with the milk. Then I studied and learned I should whisk the eggs before adding them with milk. It will more better in the time of whisking egg if we add the milk with it.
- I put the cold cake in a transparent container and the timing of picking it out there I was afraid of breaking the cold cake. So I should not keep the cake in an open container which will be easy to open.
- With very good care I cut the cake because it was cooking and very slowing and with patience, I cut it.
✓ Do you have any special tips for making it? Share it.
It will be a great pleasure for me to give some special tips though I’m new in this and I would like to dare to share some tips which will help other Steemians who are new like me.
- We should choose good quality chocolate which will bring a good taste of the cake and also melt smoothly.
- The consistency of the chocolate must be thick.
- We should take care of putting the layer in every time. After setting the previous layer then we have to put another layer. We never do it with rush.
- We should not dip the cookies into milk for a long time. We can dip it once to twice.
- Before getting out the cake from a covered container we should cut the edges very carefully. With a warm knife it should be cut and after each of cut wipe it cleanly.

Saludos cordiales amiga, veo tu pastel frío y quiero probarlo 😃😃😃 visualmente tu pastel luce increíble, hay una justa proporción entre la cantidad de galletas y de pudín.
Creo que has hecho un intento muy acertado en esta práctica, seguramente te gustó el resultado ya que este postre se deshace en la boca.
Comparto la idea de utilizar un chocolate de buena calidad para elevar el sabor en nuestras preparaciones, especialmente en este postre en dónde el chocolate es uno de los ingredientes principales.
