The Diary Game: Buying Chicken In The Market And Cooking White Soup On Christmas Day (25/12/2025)

Early to the market and early to come back was the plan after waking up on Christmas day. So, I went to the market specially go buy chicken. One thing about me is that I can't slaughter chicken so I bought the chicken from my customer and asked her to slaughter the chicken and de-feather the chicken for me so I could take back home and cook.

When I took the chicken back home, I came and dropped the items at home and then I took the dirty clothes I had worn since Monday then I kept the clothes outside and began to wash them. Since I was the only one at home, I did some things very slowly because my daughter was with her grandma.

After I finished washing the clothes, I dried them outside and then I took my bath before planning on cooking. I had a choice of prepare white soup with garri and because the chicken I bought was big enough for a pot of white soup, I remained some meats that I will use to prepare something else.

When I finished cooking in the afternoon, I had received more than three plates of food from my neighbour who had cooked before me. I also dished out my own white soup and gave to them before I came back home to come and eat my own food.

After I finished eating, I was so tired so I couldn't do any other thing. I spoke to my daughter and she was telling me of eating and enjoying her grandma. After that, I went to bed because I had church program to attend in the evening time.

In the evening time, when I woke up, I got dressed and then I went to church. Its the service we do keep every 25th December of every year. I went and my choir director was the one playing the keyboard.

After a brief sermon, I came back home to come and rest but when I arrived the house, my clothes were outside, so I went there and started removing the clothes from the clothes lines then I took them inside, folded them and kept them in the box.

After that, I dished my food and ate again then I had a drink and that was how I ended my Christmas with so much gratitude to God for being the source of health and life. I am wishing you a prosperous new year ahead.
