The diary game 27/3/26: “A Spontaneous Hair Day and Everything In Between”

Dear dairy,

Hair loosing time

It was a beautiful day and one that Looked forward to having a having a different look. A different look? Exactly. Well, I had been carrying my braids for quiet some time and I was just waiting be or the right moment to loose it.

These things for me doesn’t just come except there’s an extra energy and mood that I need to either make my hair or loose it. Till the energy comes, we remain the way we are. Sometimes it’s pre planned and some other time, it’s spontaneous and that was how this one was.

I didn’t know I was going to want to loose my hair today but I must admit that it was rather over due. Well, the right moment happened to be today.

Well, the day started off on a lazy note but not without my daily routine of praying and Bible reading and also doing my daily devotional and then I strolled to sister to get my hair loosing started.

We started around past 10 am. First I had to cut the extra ends to shorten it to my hair length before we could proceed with the loosing. It wasn’t an easy task. Some of the hairs were tangled on the body probably because it’s been a while.

By 12 pm, we had a live on Facebook and we logged in. We listened in and engaged with our comments while we still loosed the braids. We also spent time gisting as we kept working.

After about three hours of work, we were finally done with loosing the hair. Woow. How I felt so free and happy. I have issues with making braids on my Dred most time because of this hassle of loosing the braids. I’d rather stick with just carrying my dreds the way they are.

After loosing the dreds came hunger pangs. Well, it was time to eat. We didn’t have alredy made food in the house, hence sis and I strolled to a nearby restaurant to get soups. We bought bitter leaves and afang soup. We made swallow at home and ate them for lunch.

Then it was blogging time for me. I knew I had to settle down and make some posts. I breezed into my blog and started out with the diary game that was lagging. After my diary game, I participated in a contest in steem for Nigeria and then I had to rest my eyes briefly.

My battery was low and to charge up. Meanwhile I had a mentorship program by 8pm. After which we had to go get dinner. When we came back from getting dinner, we met a commotion in the lodge.

We heard voices of shouting and thought that people were fighting. So many of the inmates were on the Vera see and everyone seems to be talking at the same time. Well, the tumult was about the lack of light and water in the hostel.

It’s been a frustrating experience as we have to go downstairs to fetch water and even when the water is pumped, it doesn’t enter the rooms and we have to go to the kitchen to fetch water and carry back to the rooms.

So many of the ladies were still making a fuss of the situation we found ourselves in while I excused myself and retired to the room. I also spent something talking with dad on the phone. After that, I breezed into my blog again into my blog to finish up with a pending post.

I stayed up late into the night till about 2am before I retired for the day. It was a beautiful day and a fulfilling one.
