we don't have this money and then we see others who have this money living good lives, we start imagining we had ours instantly and that our suffering would just come to an abrupt end.

You are right , when we have not money and see other that they have money and living awesome life standard then we also want this life style and luxuries. It's natural that we also want facilities. abut we can just imagine till we earn and become successful man.
