Creative Writing — Nostalgic Mini Militia
Assalamu Alaikum
The year was 2017. The time was a little different, we had just started getting smart phones and a small 2D game—Mini Militia—was an addiction on the screen of that phone. Today, nine years later, when I look back, I see that this game was not just a game for us, it was a unique status for us. Back then, those moments of sitting in a circle with our brothers on the balcony, in the field, turning on the local hotspot and entering the game were symbols of nobility. Who killed how many? Whose rank is higher? We used to speculate about these all day long. Thousands of our memories are associated with this game. When we played this game together, other people could not approach us with their screams and laughter. "Hey brother, are you a hacker!", "Why did you take the guard?", "Where did you get the kill?"—these small words were the real ingredients of our friendship. Starting from the elder brother, all the younger brothers would weave a thread for this game.
A long time has passed, life has changed, and the type of game has changed. Mini Militia may seem old-fashioned in the current crowd of high-graphics games, but its appeal to us is still as strong as before. And I got proof of this on Eid-ul-Fitr this year, when all my friends got together after a long time, the old addiction became stronger again. We all downloaded Mini Militia again. That old map, the same sound effects and that excitement. The surprising thing is that even after playing the game after so many years, we didn't feel the slightest bit boring. Rather, it felt like we had returned to our childhood.
Mini Militia is not just a pixel game for us, it is a place of our emotions. Many more advanced games may come with the evolution of technology, but the satisfaction of carrying out that mission with friends by sharing a hotspot is impossible to find in any other game. This game taught us how to have fun together and how to create thousands of memories even in a simple game. Mini Militia will live on in our chats, in our hearts and in our memories. Today's discussion concludes here. I hope you've found it interesting. Please share your thoughts on today's topic. Prayers for everyone. May everyone be well. Amen.
