It's another beautiful day to report my moment on Sunday. For the Christians, Sunday is about Jesus's Triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The bible records how the Jews used palm fronds and spread their cloaks for the king of Kings to walk on. They were shouting “Hosana in the high, on earth peace”.

This tradition of using palm front and the church leads procession on the streets are still invoked especially amongst the mainline churches like The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, The Roman Catholic Church and the rest in Nigeria do it with great passion and reflection.

Passion or Christ the King Sunday is observed counting 40 days from the beginning of lent season while the next week after the palm Sunday marks the full beginning of Easter. Although Jesus Christ might have done many things, the clear observance of Easter from Maundy Thursday.

It's recorded that on a Maundy or Holy Thursday, Jesus had supper and also washed his disciples' feet. Friday is the day he went through all the agony to save us. Saturday, also known as the holy day, Jesus is in the grave to come back with victory over death and kingdoms. Finally, Sunday becomes the “D’, the resurrection day.

There are arguments about death, burial, and the resurrection of Christ. But it is not so strong to discredit what we believe about Christ. Dating in history is not a true picture of what happened. In the midst of all this, Jesus hasn't changed. He is always the same. Let me share how it was with me.

The weather was cold, and my body system warned me not to try cold water.

Even when time was against me, I quickly flamed the cooker up and boiled water to 100ºc and then had to balance it with normal water and enjoyed my bath.

About 7:45 am, I left the house for Palm Sunday service. This is a kind of service everyone anticipates. We did not proceed to the streets but rather started and concluded on our celebration inside the church auditorium, waving our palm fronds and using some to decorate the church.

The message of the day was about “Jesus on a deliberate mission sponsored by grace to save sinners. Luke 9:53 reveals how Jesus set His face to Jerusalem. His visitation is not for nothing.

The service was impactful, spirit-filled, and transformative to the pastor and the congregation. We reflected on Christ's sole desire to bring salvation and ways we can love him more and more.

The service that commenced at 9am, closed about 11am and after I spent a little time with members, I left for Ekpanya, off Ikot Ekpene Road in Uyo for a wedding at the Holy Ghost Ambassador Church. One of our co-tenant walked the aisle, and we were there for the latest couples in town.

The wedding dragged too long, from the time I went until about 3:46pm. I didn't have the strength to go to their reception. I paid attention to my body system, and I felt my head pounding me, and I had to go home and rest.

About 5:07 p.m., I got a call to come to Oron Road roundabout to get the stuff I ordered from Aba, and on my way, I got bread from Tinaries. Just by our street, one of the fruit sellers called me to buy from her, which I did.

I was preparing to go and meet my family. I called my wife about what she may need, and bread was mentioned. I quickly entered Richway Supermarket for her own loaf.

The day was stressful and I had to cancel meetings with Christian Council of Nigeria Youth Wing of Akwa Ibom State (YOWICCN) and The Presbyterian Young People's Association of Nigeria Uyo Presbytery (PYPAN) as the Assistant Secretary and Coordinator respectively.

I slept immediately. I had online prayers with the crusade prayer team that began at 7 pm and ended at 8:05pm.
