SEC-S17 W4: "Why do you Prefer Steemit Only?"

Getting to know Steemit was an accidental factor when gathering with friends at a coffee shop (Taufik Coffee 1 - Kuta Blang Lhokseumawe). As a blogger and YouTuber, every day I actively write and edit videos to be used as published content.

In November 2016 I heard about this platform from my friend who currently chooses to be active on a similar platform, trying to register with all the limited information I have.

The initial orientation was just to try, but after entering the payout period for the first post, I realized that Steemit is a Blockchain-based social media that needs to be understood thoroughly and needs to be utilized to produce content and get rewards. Even though I made my first cash out of 20 SBD on January 7, 2017, I don't have a long-term target as of now. I use every payout to pay for coffee and daily needs.

Getting support from King Curators such as blocktrades was the biggest hope at that time so they continued to try to display unique content, rural life, culinary and historical heritage.

I decided to stop at YouTube and Blogs and chose to focus on Steemit until now.

Getting the results you want was not easy, at that time even though the number of users was very limited, getting support was not as easy as it is now because the Steemit era of Justin Sun has created an initiative program with the formation of a Community Curation Team. So users will get support if they continue to strive to display their best content.

If Steemit was in the era of Ned and Dan's ownership, a program like this didn't exist, it only had a number of whale accounts that chose posts very selectively. It looks very difficult for new users.

If we talk about the very complex financial challenges faced, it cannot be denied that unlimited human needs and limited fulfilment, this is an obstacle to using the platform. This means that cashing out uncontrolled will be detrimental to users, for example not getting support and even the investment value in the form of Steem Power will be very limited.

In fact, if SP is passive income if managed well, Karen will get promising curation rewards.

Another obstacle is ideas and the ability to master the concept to be written, this is the main factor for anyone to survive, especially not getting support according to the targets that have been determined.
For me, continuing to dig up information through reading will actually increase creativity in producing content on the platform.

There is no guarantee that every post will get support, but keep trying to be better than before so that support in the form of upvotes from the Steemit Team will come by itself even if it's only 1 or 2 posts.

Maintaining consistency and commitment to continue being productive is the hardest thing, but if you have a strong desire, I think everything will be fine. I remain consistent on this platform so currently I have 68.xxx SP and in the near future will soon collect the 14th dolphin.

Steemit has provided valuable space for my personal growth and development. I admit that the most difficult thing in my life is writing and reading is boring, I couldn't even write 1 short paragraph, but everything has changed, even though currently I don't have the writing skills of a professional writer, I have been able to develop my writing well.

Great steemit users have given me inspiration to continue developing myself, I learned a lot from them about integrity, commitment and work ethic. I continue to strive to grow and develop sustainably through increasing steam power. I am grateful for my current achievements.

Steemit has influenced my life, how could I not have been able to upgrade my formal education status from a Diploma to a Bachelor's level, and then continue my professional education for 2 years. I got all these costs through Steem. The total education costs I spent were around IDR. 200,000,000.

I also fulfil other needs, such as buying an automatic motorbike in 2017 for 200 SBD, in 2021 again buying a Macbook Pro computing device for 21,800,000, a cellphone and various other needs.

If this has to be fulfilled through savings and salaries, this will be difficult considering the high inflation and purchasing power because the price of necessities continues to increase while the value of the IDR continues to decline.

Steemit has provided many things and I have to thank the Steemit team for their achievements so far.
