One Picture And One Story

Today I will talk about a woman entrepreneur of my village. Liza Rahman said we got married in 1992,The family of two beautiful people. I want to start something myself in the next year. It was thirty years ago. My family is rooting for me to graduate and land a good career. I started to worry, though, that the rules might keep me from getting employed after doing several interviews. I'll follow my own path.

Liz Rahman said that in this case, he thought of creating employment for others along with doing something creative himself. He said that they used to live on the first floor of an old two-storey house and he started K-Craft showroom on the lower floor.

The word women entrepreneur is on everyone's lips today, Due to the online medium, it has increased a lot during the corona epidemic. And this is where the creativity of the women of this country flourished, said Liza Rahman. Everyone has some latent creative talent.

Liza Rahman revealed that 30 years ago. the concept of a fashion house was not as commercial as it is now. Along with clothing, a boutique will have a variety of lifestyle products, customers will take time to see and shop - this is what he thought.

Liza Rahman became a successful entrepreneur only because of her strong will power, perseverance and patience. He was saying, there is no short or easy road to success. Therefore, it requires knowledge and interest to learn as a prerequisite. From there, Liza Rahman learned to make various designs of clothes by running a sewing machine. What fabric to use for making clothes, where to get that fabric, how it is made-all this is known with his own interest, he said.

A true picture of women's empowerment emerges in the story of Liza Rahman. He said with great satisfaction that 80 percent of K- Craft's workers are women. Some are designing some are cutting clothes, some are sewing. But in his words, not only women should work, but also a beautiful, normal women-friendly environment should be provided.

Liza Rahman said that an entrepreneur should enter the field knowing everything. A fashion entrepreneur needs to know how much fabric it takes to make his clothes. Apart from that, if the entrepreneur himself knows the whole process of making clothes, then it will be convenient to explain the design to the tailor. According to him, the point is that any job requires education. an entrepreneur in the fashion sector, you must know about all aspects of it, which will have diversity in terms of thinking, products or services. Those who do new things will survive in the long run. No matter where the obstacles came on the way and where did she find the inspiration to go so far, Liza said, despite many obstacles, she got her husband's support from the beginning to fulfill her dreams. He believes that the support of a spouse is very important for a woman to become an entrepreneur. Liza Rahman added, 'Just as my husband is involved with this achievement, so are hundreds of women workers. The number of workers in the initial period of fifty-six has now reached five thousand.

Liza Rahman said, 30 years ago there was no internet. So it was not easy to gather information about what was going on in which area, where which cloth could be found. As a result, he had to travel from one village to another, in different parts of Bangladesh, out of curiosity. In the continuation of the story, he said, 'I used to see with my own eyes, how weavers are weaving cloth, how Jamdani saree is being made. I used to lie there for several days to recognize and understand the clothes.' Liza said remembering one such incident, 'I went to the market in Tangail in the dark at four in the morning. This hut ends up bursting with sunlight. It was kind of a challenge even though it was scary. I have learned a lot for this.

Liza said, in the 21st century, a woman entrepreneur can easily find all the information by searching Google while starting her business. Thanks to the internet, it is now easy to connect with everyone. Apart from that, family support is much stronger than before, so there is no obstacle in choosing one's career.

Liza said, the trend of making day-based clothes has been going on in this country for a long time. Today's entrepreneurs also organize clothing stores based on different days, But rather than increasing the number of clothes, more attention should be paid to the quality of the product. Gaining the trust of the customer is also an achievement of the entrepreneur. As the number of entrepreneurs in the fashion industry is increasing day by day. So from color selection to fabric, motif, pattern - everything has to be different from others, unique. And for all this an entrepreneur needs great willpower and patience.

At the end, Liza Rahman gave her thoughtful opinion. He said that earlier competition was less, but now to survive, one must know what is happening not only in the country but also in the world. If what is going on in the trend is unknown or based on guesswork, then fall back. Since the initiative is one's own dream, women entrepreneurs have to strengthen their position honestly from that responsibility.
