I could not but smile when I stumbled upon these picture which perfectly captured beautiful moment of me tending for these amazing creatures. You can see them in their numbers, they look quite cool and good to look upon but trust me guys, they are really a handful.

If you have no patience, you would just sell them off or even slaughter them out of anger and frustration. When I hear farmers complain about their goats, I smile because I can relate, I actively nurtured these animals for over a year, I watched them mate, and reproduce young once.

I watched them do what they know to do best, I mean I watched them display their stubbornness to the peak of it. I have heard people say they are very stubborn, I've never experienced until I had reasons to nurture them. They can really be very frustrating.

There were moment they have to jump out of their confinement just to go get shrubs. You would want to ask, if it was because we didnt provide them with enough to eat. Well, No! Even when they have more than enough to feed on, they still look for ways to leave their confinement.

This is one thing I have observed about them, they hate to be confined, they want to be free but then they are destructive. When left to go fend for themselves, they go into people's farm to destroy their crops. These people come to us to complain and even compel us to pay for damages which we have done a couple of times.

Are you looking to rear these someday, well, I'm not here to discourage you but my friend, you better be ready to do all you have in your power to properly confine them and make them stay put. They will definitely test your patience till you feel you can no more handle them.
Someone said to me sometime ago that he was tired of having these goat around as they are really becoming problematic.

He didn't eventually sell them though, the reason why he mentioned that to me at the time was because of the frustration of rearing them but he seems to have gotten a better grip on them now, they are still there in his farm, behaving a bit civil until they get an opportunity to go haywire...lols.

I mean there were times I had to chase them around to get them back into their pen when they mistakenly step out. They first move as herd but when they decide to frustrate you, they breakout in threes and fours and then leave you confused on which to pursue. On days like this, after a lot of futile running around, I just return to the farm and wait for them to come around themselves... Mehn! It was a lot then.

I think I've said so much about my experience with these creature, have you any experience you would love to share? I would really love to read them. Anyway let me wrap it up here. Thanks for reading through. Gracias!
