TIME MANAGEMENT PATHWAY TO PRODUCTIVE LIFE

Time management is something that seems very difficult in the life of many. Time is something that doesn't stop ticking, it is continual . We work with it but how effective or productive we make use of our time is what matters.

WHAT IS TIME MANAGEMENT.

Being conscious of what we spend our time on is what we call time management.

Time management is difficult as it is not that easy for one to stay focused doing something productive. One would rather enjoy something that won't yield a positive effect to something meaningful. Due to easy access to cell phones, someone can stay with their phone for hours flipping from right to left, up and down. Some could be playing addictive games, watching movies, or doing one or two things that don't in any way help in his self growth.

Making use of our time for productive effect makes our life more meaningful. It also makes us happy and encourages us to do more. I get pissed out when I stay for hours without working on something that will add value to myself.

When time management is applied in life, it means life is less stressful, it increases our productivity, it helps us to be organized. We don't run helter skelter in doing things.

WAYS OF MANAGING TIME EFFECTIVELY.

JOTTING DOWN THINGS:

I do this everyday of my life, I make a list on my notepad, most times I set an alarm something as a reminder just to be time conscious, once it's time, I discipline myself, do what I am supposed to do. Making a list of what we want to achieve is one way to manage our time effectively.

WORK AND TAKE BREAK:

Just as the saying goes "all work and no play makes jack a dull boy". Time management doesn't imply one should not take a break and do something fun. In as much as one is trying to make use of his time effectively and efficiently, it is necessary to make time for fun activities.

BEING ORGANIZED:

I know a friend who stays home on Saturday having one fun or the other without checking her wardrobe for clothes she will put on to church the next day. It's on that Sunday she begins to litter her room wearing each and dumping on bed and on the floor and chairs. She does this until she finally finds one her mind goes with. By the time she's done, arriving at church,she has already missed part of the sermon or important information. Not being organized does not show time management skills. Trying to do everything at the right time is a great way of showing time management skills.

Improper time management leaves us without working tediously to meet deadlines but when time is managed effectively, work is done leaving us with more chances to do other meaningful things that count. Utilizing time management in our everyday life is one way to leave a stress free life, improves our knowing what to do and excluding what is not needed.
