Contest Entry : One Picture and One Story #98

Last week Saturday a huge clean up was done in the church and it's premises because we were expecting the Bishop the next day which was 19th October 2025 and we were all happy that the day was very close. The Parish Priest of my church ordered that everyone should be in the church that Saturday by 4pm so that mission work can fully commence.

The Bishop can't come to our church and see most places looking unkept. The people who were going to confirm including me, were all instructed to ensure some part of the road leading to the church compound are kept clean. There was also water close to the gate so we carried useless blocks and kept on the water so that we can step on the blocks instead.

Our sacristy was finally in good shape and that was one of the things that got me excited that day. We have waited for that moment to come and it came faster that we expected. When I say WE I mean my fellow Altar Servers and I in the church because we haven't gotten a nice sacristy for a long time.

In this sacristy there's toilet though I'm hearing rumors that this exact place isn't our main sacristy that it is our Parish Priest office that we just need to occupy it for now. To me I think this particular one is supposed to be our sacristy because is bigger than the other room beside it. Anyhow let's observe and see how things will be at the end.

Last week Saturday our President organized the younger boys to take the wardrobes to the sacristy because it was now ready for usage. The wardrobes are two, I couldn't take picture of the two together because it skipped my mind but this one here is the older wardrobe which has been in existence for more than 6 years. We really need a door to be fixed on the wardrobe so that dusts won't be touching the things that are kept inside. I'm glad everything was successfully arranged in the sacristy last week Saturday.
