Hello Everyone I Am @MEMAMUN 👳‍♀️ From #Bangladesh

Dear friends, I hope you are all well. I am also, Alhamdulillah, doing very well by the countless mercy of Allah. A wonderful contest is being organized, and now the fourth week of this contest is underway. It is a nice contest for solving problems. Zinia has organized it; she is @ahsansharif. You are running this contest very skillfully. Let's answer her questions.

Reduce Mobile Addiction, I have a picture about this

01, How many hours do you use your mobile, and which application is used the most?

A great question has been asked, and in response to this question, I will first tell you this. The daily timeline is never completely perfect; some days it might be a bit more, and other times a little less. This can happen because of following different routines on different days. For example, one day it was about 10 hours. The day before that was around 8 hours. Some days I got a little extra time. The day before that, because of exams or something, I got a little less time. I’m giving you the report, take a look.

1000055956.jpgIt is the 17th of yesterday.
1000055961.jpgAnd it was his next day, the day of action 16th June

This was a report, and if I say that the Eid app is used the most, I would say that we can't really tell based on just one day's report because it has been used more over many days. However, I can mention a few of the most effective apps. These give me my most productive daily time. Among them are YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, and the Steemit platform. You might have seen proof of this in the two screenshots above.

  • Facebook. Sometimes I use it when necessary, and other times just to pass the time.

  • YouTube. This is used the most because of mobile technology and for listening to various types of lectures.

  • Steemit platform. Time is spent here due to my various activities, such as posting and commenting after that.

  • WhatsApp. One of my favorites for communication is also WhatsApp. I use it to communicate with everyone and also in various groups.

02 What are the reasons why you use your mobile phone so much?

Currently, we live in a time when everything starts on our mobile phones. Through this mobile phone, many people's work has become easier, while others have gone into bad habits. Some waste their time, while sometimes others spend their time on good activities. Since the question has been asked, why do I actually use a mobile phone? I would say I use a mobile for performing daily activities and passing time in the present age. Below, I am discussing this in detail.

WhatsApp ViewOffline CallFb Messenger
To stay in touch with everyone
  • I get the opportunity to stay in touch with everyone on this phone through Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and offline calls and messages. Because of this communication system, I use my mobile a lot. In organizational groups, different kinds of information and updates are exchanged
For online-based work
  • Since buying this phone, one main thought has always stayed in my mind that I will buy a phone but also earn some money online or do some work. I need to use it for different tasks and to earn some money. For example, tasks on the Steemit platform and other necessary work
Spending some time for no specific reason
  • On Facebook reels and various YouTube videos, different useful videos, news, international news from home and abroad. Also, various kinds of jokes, Islamic advice, Islamic lectures, and important lectures from around the world. For these, I mostly use Facebook and YouTube

03 Share three physical activities that take you away from screen time.

I want to go back from this modern era to the primitive times. A time where there would be no networks, no busyness, just solitude and a natural environment. So, sometimes I put aside my mobile phone and occasionally spend time alone or focus on some work, which I enjoy. I am presenting three physical activities in front of you through which I have to stay away from my mobile phone.

  • The first one is my work routine according to my current job policy. I work at a madrasa, and here I have been given the responsibility to provide students with proper education. To do this, I must stay away from my mobile phone and devote my full time to the students. Give them the right guidance, and they will get the education we provide, so I keep my mobile phone away.

  • 1000055958.jpg

  • Secondly, reading books. By reading books, I can stay away from my mobile. And that definitely means reading the book on paper with pen, not some PDF on a mobile phone. Having a book in hand means staying away from your phone, and I think this is a very useful way to keep distance from the phone. So personally, to stay away from using mobile phones, I make sure to read some books.

  • 1000055959.jpg
  • Thirdly, I think the most important thing that keeps me away from my phone is worshiping Allah. Performing the five daily prayers, extra prayers, and reciting the Quran not only keeps me away from my phone but also from other bad activities. It’s an easy way to stay mindful and disciplined. I do this every day, but unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures at that time because my phone wasn’t with me.

04 What benefits did you see when you reduced your screen time?

The three physical activities I do don't happen every day; sometimes they are a little different. I had watched this competition even before yesterday, and I thought that if I were to write this post, I would need to wait a couple of days and do some separate analyses. For example, yesterday I spent about 10 hours on it, and before that I had spent around eight and a half to eight hours. But today, so far, I’ve spent about 5 hours on my three activities, and you could say I have about five hours remaining.

1000055972.jpgThere are 5 hours which I used more than half a day which means I got through it in more time
How will I benefit from this?
  • From science to scientists, and from the Sunnah and Islam to all aspects of life, it is always said that keeping away from mobile phones is better. And I realize this not only now but have understood for a long time that staying away from mobile phones can be very beneficial. Mobile phones tend to take us more towards the bad than the good. So, as much as possible, staying away from mobiles is extremely important for us and will bring good benefits and advantages.

05 What advice would you give to others to avoid excessive screen time and reduce mobile phone use?

An extremely important piece of information is that nowadays, when we listen to lectures, the first thing I notice is that most of the conversations are about mobile phones. Discussions about mobile phones take place in various contexts, and people talk about how to avoid them and the fears associated with them. Based on this, I’ll first hear from you about what dreadful problems we face due to using mobile phones.

  • Excessive mobile phone use damages the eyes.
  • Using mobile phones too much increases the likelihood of focusing on bad activities.
  • Watching inappropriate content and obscene videos damages morals.
  • Excessive mobile use weakens the body and greatly reduces energy.
  • Overusing mobile phones can destroy many relationships.

So, let’s try to use them less and find out what benefits we can actually get from reducing their use.

  • By using your mobile phone less, you will be able to focus more on offline work.
  • Being away from your mobile will help you concentrate on your tasks.
  • Keeping away from your mobile phone will also allow you to maintain your relationships with your relatives.
  • Avoid watching obscene videos or pictures, as this will reduce sin.
  • You will get the opportunity to focus on all the worships of Allah.
  • Use your phone only as much as needed, no more.
  • Remember, your well-being is very important. Don’t let your life get ruined because of your mobile phone.

I have presented this in front of you based on my small amount of knowledge. I hope everyone will apply these pieces of advice, and if you have any suggestions too, please let me know.

In this great contest, I will invite a few of my friends who will discuss with us about their expenses, their monthly and weekly budgets. @josepha @bossj23 @aviral123

Dear brother, you have written a very beautiful way to reduce mobile usage. I like the way you have shown it with screenshots using apps. Also, you have used beautiful markdown in the post. Excessive use of mobile phones is destroying the peace of our lives. Day by day our next generation is getting more and more attracted to mobile phones. Best wishes for your challenge post.
