Today I am sharing a very interesting glass painting for my challenge of the week in which I created my own complete design on a glass goblet. The step-by-step procedure with pictures I prepared myself, and the experience was very fun and educational.

Things to use

A glass goblet

White acrylic paint

Acrylic paints of different colors

Fine and medium sized brushes

Permanent Marker (Black)

Water and plate

Finally varnish (if desired).

My complete procedure step by step

1️⃣ Step 1 — Prepare the surface

First I washed and dried the goblet thoroughly. Then base coat the entire glass with white paint, so that the next colors appear clean and rich.

2️⃣ Blue and red filling

First I added a blue layer to the face.
Then fill in red on the top and sides of the head to create a unique character.
I gave each layer time to dry completely.

3️⃣ Face lining and details

Now that the colors were well settled, I drew lines like eyes, lips and stitches with a fine marker.
Gradually the whole face became more lively.

4️⃣ Final shading and hair detailing

Added more shades to the hair to create depth.
Adding light nuances of white and black in the eyes gave the character a complete look.
This step was the most fun!

5️⃣ The finishing touch — the bright look

Finally I did a little fine lining to make the design stand out more. My goblet painting was ready.

When held up to the light, the blue glowed and the painting had a magical effect.

Painting on glass has constantly been a well of joy for me, but this time the expertise of creating a character was unique.

Glass makes colors appear additionally abuzz, so the concussion of each stroke is clear and that is what makes it all the more interesting.
