The Diary Game: |16/12/2025| I Took A Big Risk At Work Today And It Paid

From my friend's place to day, I decided to go to work. When I got there, I met my driver who told me I was late and when I checked my time, I was really late. The reason I came late was because from where my friend stays to my workplace is very far so I needed to cover like *2 of the same journey I used to take anytime I come to work. I apologized and then I submitted my report for that of yesterday and then I went out to my customer's shop to go supply.

I went on my way, this time I wasn't going to supply in Uyo and it environ. So I went to the interior part of the state to go for my supplies. Honestly, I always take a bet that sometimes I would be scared but then, I need to touch but urban and rural settlements.

As we were going on our way, we past the boarder separating Uyo and Etinan, we saw a police van, I don't know why there was a police van, so I was so sceptical about our movement but I summoned the courage to go and ask the officers what happened and why they were there. They told me they are just on a patrol.

I wanted to really be sure before I proceed because if I can remember vividly, there was a time I came down to this same Etinan LGA and then as I came right inside the heart of the town, I herd they were fighting inter communal fight, I was so scared of my life that day and since then, I haven't been here for supplies.

Today, the whole place was peaceful and the environment was okay to supply to them. I sighted one of my favorite customer, he had stacked up empty crates because he didn't have drinks to sell. I went to him and I gave him some goods then he paid for it. We talked and then I went to other places to supply. I was even applauding their Local Government Chairman for making sure the place was developed to this extent.

I was so tired after we supplied everything we came here with. So I told my driver to return us back to Uyo and besides my fiance was already calling me to know if I was safe. I told him I would come back home and make us dinner and not just him always doing that.

When I came back to Uyo LGA, I first of all signed out then went to my friend's house and then I cooked rice, fried plantain and fried chicken. He ate it and enjoyed. These days, anytime I am at his place, I do prefer to use his camera because it's always very sharp. I will change my phone any of these days, let me continue saving money towards it.

After we finished eating, he offered to go do the dishes and then I went to the bathroom, bathed and came out with pajamas and then I went on the bed to write my diary. It took a risk today and it paid off, thank you for having me my friends.
