The Diary Game: 8th May, 2026. Leaving Home Late, Clients Satisfaction and A Short Day Out.
So hello guys, it’s Otidi here again. Welcome to another episode of How My Day Went.
Today started quite late for me because I stayed indoors all morning. You won’t believe it, but I didn’t get to work until around 12 PM when the sun was crazily hot.
So, let me gist you. I woke up early because I had a graphic design job to deliver ...the same one I mentioned yesterday. The work was already done and saved. I only needed the client to confirm the work before I go to the printing press.
I sent her a WhatsApp message with the designs and she messaged me back and that was how it started. One correction led to another. One preference led to another. One thing she wanted, another thing she forgot to include. It was back and forth — fixing, correcting, adjusting.
Before I knew it, I had redesigned two flyers all over again. That was what kept me at home from morning till almost afternoon.
By the end she loved it and I think that's all that matters really. I like it too and leant along the line too.
One thing about me is that when I focus on work, I lose appetite completely. There was food on the table, but I couldn’t even touch it. That’s how my focus works. Once I lock in, it becomes crazy focus. It pulls me in and doesn’t let me out until the work is done.
So by around 12 PM, I finally left the house. And honestly, the sun outside was crazy hot.
I got to the shop, did my cleanup quickly and didn’t stay long.
My student had already informed me earlier that he wouldn’t be coming. When I got to the shop, I was starving because I had packaged food for myself before leaving home. I sat down, ate, and scrolled through Facebook for a bit.
Not long after, a customer came in. I handled one or two jobs for her ... typing and printing some documents. I did everything quickly, made copies, and sorted everything out fast.
After that, I left the shop and headed to the printing press.
And that place? Another long wait.
When I got there, I had to wait for the queue, had to wait for them to finish several other jobs before getting to mine. I just kept waiting… and waiting… and waiting.
I stayed there for about one or two hours before they finally got my work done.
From there, I went straight back to my shop. By the time I returned, it was already getting late .... almost my closing hour.
I sat down for a while, waiting for the guy who was supposed to collect the flex, but he didn’t show up.
I ended up staying till around 7 PM because of the wait. Once it was 7, I closed the shop and headed home.
When I finally got home, there was nothing to eat, so I had to cook bean.
I made beans for the house, ate once it was ready, and honestly, that was it for the day.
I was so tired that I just went straight to bed without wasting any time.
And yeah… that was how my day went.
