One picture one story

Indeed, there's a very long story behind the above picture, the picture means so much to me as it holds many memories, both good and bad, some of which are personal.

But in today's article, we will be focusing mainly on the good memories. I remember the day the picture was taken as if it were yesterday; it was on December 25th, 2023.

The picture reminds me of those moments or days I was truly free, and when I say free, I mean free from all sorts of things like overthinking. At that moment, I had a little financial freedom and I was fully capable of taking care of myself because I was working.

The memories

The picture reminds me of my hard work. Each time I look at it, it reminds me of those days I was working all day just to earn a living. Indeed, I was fully independent and taking care of myself, so the picture brings back memories of my struggles to survive.

The picture brings back memories of loneliness. It was on the 25th of December that I took the picture, but I remember very well that on that very day, no one called me just to hear from me. Even my family members didn't call. I was all alone and I couldn't even eat because I was feeling depressed, especially when I saw other people's families coming together to be merry.

The picture reminds me of my seriousness back then to build my life. I remember clearly those days I was very determined to go back to school, and I was working all day in order to make that dream a reality, which, of course, as we speak, I'm currently in my second year.

The picture alone holds a summary of the year 2023. It was the year my phone was stolen, a phone worth 300,000 naira, which is equivalent to 2950 Steem. Also, as I said earlier, it reminds me of my struggles and when I was working all day just to survive.
