Today I am going to share a new term which is carpal tunnel syndrome so I would like to discuss this topic in detail so first of all we should know that itology of carpal tunnel syndrome that how this disease starts progresses and how it is diagnosed.

Pathology of this disease is very easy to understand because we all know that there are muscles in our bodies and these muscles are innervated by nerves and every muscle have a different innervation. When any of the nerves compresses then it becomes very problematic and sometimes cause severe symptoms.
There is brachial plexus present in our body that originates from the cervical vertebras and then it comes down towards the axilla and towards the brachium which is arm so after these nerves supplies the muscles of ARM they comes downward towards hand and supplies the muscle of hand.

At the level of wrist there is a tunnel present between carpal bones which are five in numbers and there is retinclea through which other passes which is median nerve so when there is compression of that nerve then this syndrome occurs as a result.
Basically this abnormality is found in those people mostly who use computers for prolonged period of time or who have to work for prolonged period of time by placing their hand at a support which is very tough or hard.

After that due to the compression of median nerve there is swelling occurs in the area of wrist so therapist treat it according to its condition and there are icing packs used for the treatment and some exercises also recommended by the therapist to patient.
