The election was successful

I have been the president of the Catholic Altar Servers Association in my parish since 2022. Things weren't easy for me as the president all these years and what made things more stressful was when majority of my fellow executives became inactive for too long and even till now we just have 3-4 active executives.

This year is the year for election for all the societies and associations in the church and we were informed in the month of February about this. I was surprised because I thought the election will hold around June-July because that was how it was in 2022 and I was quite happy as well because I was gradually get more busy with my personal life because of my academics.

I was happy that finally I will be free from the stress and responsibilities of being a president in an association in the church. All these years I tried my best to be active and lead members of the association well so that I can create an impact on most of them. When we received the information about the election I became confused about the person that will be the new president.

I finally made a decision that our patron's son will be the president. My younger brother is older than him and I think he will do better than him because he has more experience but it will look somehow if he becomes the president, it will look as if is a family something and if he's the president, responsibilities might fall back to me after I have known that I will be free from numerous responsibilities in the association. I mean that can happen when he's absent in a particular gathering and I'm present with few new executives.

Our patron's son isn't perfect but he's outspoken and that's one thing I love about him. There's also another person who's our current treasurer but he didn't had any interest of being the president and I didn't want him to be forced. He also said he will be relocating to another state once he's done with his final exams in secondary school. I said it will be a challenge if he becomes the president so I decided to let him be.

I encouraged my members to cast their votes wisely. They needed tips as well and I told them the persons that will be almost perfect for most positions and yes they agreed to some of the persons I mentioned. After the election four of my predictions came to reality. The president, vice president, chief sacristan and the treasurer. My younger brother successfully became the chief sacristan and I was ok with that and I pray he does his work diligently and avoid excuses that will make things not to go right. Next month they will all be inaugurated and I and my recent executives will be known as just members of the association.
