The unique people of my community have escorted my sister to her husband's house after the traditional marriage it is a dream come true for every parent to see that their daughter is married rightfully because some people run into their marital home without the traditional rite some of that individual either god pregnant out of wedlock and decided to stay together as husband and wife without the proper knowledge of their parents but today in my sister has put a smile on our parents face she is my cousin and we share in her joy of finding a husband and doing the right thing before getting married
According to our culture if a young lady is getting married her husband will provide her family with six basins of local beans and 12 create of minerals four goats 12 chickens 1 Big pig one pickup of firewood 2 bags of corn after all that has been presented to the parents and of course, money for uncle's, Brothers, mothers, and father also is included in the dowry and the Bride price is 150,000. if the man is not strong enough he can decide to do half in the future he can complete it after they have built their home properly and have children.
Things are expensive in the market even though the economy of the country is hard people still get married every Saturday it was God's grace that no matter how hard the country turns his children will surely be celebrated regardless of the hardship men are still married
When the dance was going on our in-law brought all these items and our local dancers, danced in her father's compound to show that yes today my daughter has made me proud after that if the husband wishes he can take her to his house and if he also have strength enough to proceed with the white wedding he can go to church and take vow of their marriage it was a beautiful celebration so many jubilation and high spirit of love I can feel it in her smile because I was once in her place when my traditional food was presented before my parents I was so happy because I did not put my parents to shame.
During the dance, our parents put a female goat around her neck to show that she should bear children and that is a sign of multiplication to her life that God should bless her with many children and also her home with wealth After that the groom takes the goats to their house direct is a sign of the good relationship between both families
My sister's from far and near were around her friends and guests, and presenting gifts and food items for her to start her home tradition can never be forgotten no matter how long we stay on earth and no matter how hard will try to innovate the digital generation tradition can never be wiped out from the face of the Earth
