Some People Don’t Burn in Sunlight, They Burn in Time

Those who suddenly turned pale…
They once had colors too.
They used to laugh, make noise, and be the loudest people in gatherings. But life slowly started taking away their light, and one day people only noticed how much they had changed.
Honestly, I have also gone through a phase where I would look at myself in the mirror and feel surprised. Even after sleeping enough, the tiredness under my eyes never disappeared. People would ask, “Are you okay? You don’t look the same anymore.”
And I would just smile, because not every pain can be explained with words.
Some exhaustion is not physical,
it comes from responsibilities.
Some pain is not illness,
it is silent stress.
I once had a friend who was always smiling. He was the soul of every gathering. Then suddenly he stopped meeting people. Later I found out that family problems, work pressure, and disappointment from close people were slowly destroying him from inside. From the outside he still looked “fine,” but in reality he was breaking a little more every single day.
Life does not steal a person’s colors in one day.
It happens slowly.
Sometimes by taking away sleep,
sometimes by stealing peace,
and sometimes through the people from whom we expected the most.
We often judge people too quickly and say, “This person has changed. They are not the same anymore.”
But maybe life never allowed them to stay the same.
Maybe time changed them without their permission.
Now whenever I see a quiet person, I pay attention, because I know every silence hides a battle. Some people scream their pain out loud, and some slowly fade into pale colors… 💔
