Coconut contains which vitamins and minerals.

This is typical of fruit generally and dominantly found in tropical regions with the scientific name "cocos nucifera. In its characteristics, it has a hard and brown shell that is seen with a fibrous husk and three eyes. These three eyes are typical exit fluid outlets when punctured. However, its interior is characterized by a whitish edible flesh with water, all consumable.

We have two types of coconut commonly found in areas of growth, and they include the green coconut with predominantly more flesh and water and harvester immature and the brown coconut with predominantly harder flesh and less water that is harvested when matured.

Among its uses, it has diligently served in our culinary space as coconut milk, oil, and for cooking/baking. We cannot forget the coconut water which serves as a hydrating drink for most users. I have seen coconut-like widely adopted as one skin product while its shell gained entry into the craft space.

Nutrional Value:

Coconut fruit is known to contain healthy fats, that is fats of medium-chain triglycerides, vitamins C and E, and minerals. Let's talk about them extensively, especially the vitamins and minerals under the scope of interest.

Vitamins

  • Vitamin C: This is one major vitamin found in the coconut fruit. Vitamin C helps boost the immune system as well as an antioxidant.
  • Vitamin E: The concept behind the skincare use. This helps in improving skin health.
  • Vitamin B1 (Thiamine): the energy requirement provided through this fruit. This is the energy metabolism source...
  • Vitamin B2 (Niacin): A good source for attending to our digestive system.
  • Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid): Takes care of our hormone's health, especially in its production.
  • Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine): Our brain health vitamins. We are better off (high memory status) because of this vitamin.

Minerals

  • Potassium: One of the major requirements those suffering from BP could get is its abundance. This mineral helps in fluid regulation and muscle use.
  • Magnesium: Another great enhancement of muscle energy and nerve functions
  • Iron: We are certain of regular and adequate oxygen movement and blood supplies
  • Phosphorus: We can be better off with our bones and stored energy.

We also have other nutritional ingredients like Magnesium and Copper. All are great in delivering better bone formation and growth, as well as red blood cells.

Coconut containing favorite dish of yours.

Each time the term coconut is mentioned, what goes into my head is the coconut rice. This is a delicacy I've always wished to have any time. This is cooking our rice with the coconut milk. A typical food is found in my country (Nigeria).

In extracting the coconut milk, we have to grate the coconut and soak it in warm water to enable it to extract all the milk from the fleshy white part. This is a major part we need to give it all the flavor and fragrance we need while cooking.

In doing this, we need to rinse the rice until all starchy and white colorations are removed. Boil rice with the coconut milk until done. However, while doing this, we have to add all our needed ingredients like paper, salt, etc.

I boil in medium heat to allow for even cooking and heat to increase rice absorption. We may add the different protein parts we need (cow meat, chicken, turkey, fish, etc.). This helps to give it the required taste as well as balance as expected.

It is an easy-to-make meal and requires fewer spices, unlike our usual jollof and fried rice delicacies.
