There was a beautiful village surrounded by many high mountains, valleys, and green trees. In this beautiful village lived a boy named Raju, who was very selfless, humble, hardworking, and very kind. For all these good qualities of his, everyone in the village loved Raju very much. Another nature of his was that he was very adventurous and always very eager to do great things. But Raju was always very confused about one thing, what was his purpose in life.
One day he went to the deep forest for cutting wood. Walking through the dark forest, he saw an old man sitting under a long tree. The old man was very weak. On his face, the old man had a long beard, two bright eyes, and a beautiful shining smile. Raju asked the old man, “Grandpa, why are you sitting here alone?” In response, the old man said, “I am sitting here to rest, my son. But tell me, why do you look so restless and worried?” Raju was very surprised to hear this because the old man was able to accurately understand his state of mind. He replied very narrowly and hesitantly, “I cannot find any purpose in my life. I cannot find any meaning in this life.” He also said, “I want to make my life a product and do something great. But I can not figure it out how to do this.” Then the old man thought for a while and answered to Raju “Son, if you want to find the purpose of your life, then I have a way.”
Far away on the top of a blue mountain, he pointed and said, “You have to go there. You will find an old monk there. He may help you for finding the main purpose of your life." He also added "But your journey to the mountains will not be easy, you may have to face many obstacles and danger." Raju then bid farewell to the old man and left from there. After returning home, he told his parents about this incident and decided to go to the top of that blue mountain. The next morning, he took some food with him and started his journey to that blue mountain. Many rivers, hills, mountains, deep jungles, and dark forests he had crossed away. On his way he met several people and, as is his helpful nature, he helped them as much as he could.
He saw a farmer inside the forest. While driving his cart through the forest, he got stuck in the muddy road. The farmer was trying hard to get his cart out from the mud but it was not possible by him. Raju, seeing the farmer's plight and he felt for it. Raju put his all strength for pulling out the cart from the mud and after trying for a while he succeeded. The farmer was very much happy to see the generosity of Raju and he offered Raju some fruits which he had with him to eat. After walking further into a deep forest he saw a little girl standing and crying a lot. Raju asked the little girl why she was crying. The girl replied that she had lost her way in this deep forest and her home was at the end of this forest. Raju then held the girl's hand and walked with her and reached her home at the end of the forest. The girl's mother was overwhelmed with emotion seeing the girl and thanked Raju a lot. The girl's mother served Raju some hot food which satisfied the hungry Raju a lot.

After that, he started his journey again. Walking for some distance, he saw a wounded bird lying on the ground. He picked up the little bird very gently. He saw that the bird had a small wound on its body, he made a little paste with a leaf and placed it in a safe place on a branch of the tree. The bird chirped a lot and thanked Raju. After walking through the difficult path of the forest for some time, he reached the top of the blue mountain. There he saw a hut surrounded by beautiful flowers. He was standing outside, overwhelmed by the beauty of the hut. The monk saw that Raju was standing outside of the hut and then he welcomed Raju to his hut. When Raju entered to the hut the monk offered him some food and asked very politely "Son, what you are doing here and why have you come?" Then Raju explained to him the purpose of coming here and the story behind it.

Then the monk smiled softly and said to Raju, “Tell me some details of your journey.” Raju is a little surprised and he describes how he helped the farmer, how he took the small girl to her house, and also how he helped the injured bird. Then the monk said, “Raju, you have already found your purpose in this journey.” Hearing this, Raju was a little surprised and confused. He asked, “Father, I do not understand the meaning of your words properly.” He added, “I have helped only a few people on this journey, and I have done nothing else.”
The monk then came to Raju and very slowly placed his hand on his head and said, “Greatness does not come with wealth or power. The way you help everyone with your generosity brings happiness to everyone’s life. Wherever you go, spread happiness and prosperity with your generosity. This is the main purpose of your life.”
Raju understood the depth and meaning of this monk’s words and it brought tears to his eyes. He thanked the monk with a bright smile and left him. For the first time in his life, he felt very satisfied and returned home with a strong will. After returning home, he used to help all the poor, needy and helpless people around him to the maximum extent. Which not only gave him satisfaction but also made him popular among everyone. Every person in the village respected and loved him a lot. And he was a shining example of an ideal person in his village. Raju was never rich or famous but despite that, he was able to live a happy and simple life.

This story teaches us a very subtle and deep lesson that maybe we may not be rich or powerful, but despite that, we can stand by others with our various works and help. Our small help can make another person's life easier and more beautiful. It is not always necessary to have money or power to help others, we need to create a beautiful mind and mentality within ourselves.

I wish that by reading the story we will bring out the good qualities hidden within ourselves. So that all the people around us benefit from it even if it is a little.
