SLC29-W1: Alhaji Sunusi Fruit Store
It feels good to be back again exploring through different routes of edibles and reviewing them. Today, for the purpose of this week's challenge, I will be reviewing one of the best fruit and vegetable store in Gwarinpa city; Alhaji Sunusi Fruit Store
Fruits and vegetables displayed
The store is located at 6th avenue, Gwarinpa and it is also very accessible because it's by the roadside directly opposite Kelson International School.
Different types of fruits and vegetables are sold here; papaya, grapes, watermelon, pineapple, orange, apple ( green and red), cucumber, star apple, avocado, banana, limes and lemons.
Vegetables for all kinds of meals are also available; carrots, cabbage, green beans, bell peppers ( green, red and yellow), fresh pepper, lettuce , spring onion, green peas, fresh tomatoes and onions e.t.c.
Full watermelon, papaya, cucumber, green beans, avocado, bell pepper, star apple, lemon etc
Other food ingredients like sweet potato, irish potatoes, ripe plantain, egg and various spices are available as well. Both fruits and vegetables are affordable and the qualities are good. The things sold here are freshly from the farm that's why it all looks fresh and attractive to buyers.
Fresh pepper, chili, onions and tomatoes in baskets
Fresh pepper, green beans, peas, onions can be purchased as low as #200 ( 1.9 steem). The sliced fruits ( watermelon, pineapple and papaya) are sold for #500 (4.6 steem) each.
Watermelon, papaya and pineapple
Apples are of two sizes and of course two colors (green and red), the small size is #500 (4.6 steem) while the big size is #700 ( 6.4 steem).
Cabbage and banana is from #1,000 (9.1 steem) and above. The most expensive fruit in this store is grapes, it has a fixed price, a pack is #6,000 (54.6 steem)
Rating the variety and quality of fruits and vegetables here, I would say that the qualities are good. Honestly, I've always been purchasing quality items here and I never had any bad encounter. The services rendered here are excellent and the sales attendants are nice and patient with customers when selecting items.
I love to shop for veggies here and it is also my best stop each time I intend to make smoothie or fruit salad because all my favorite fruits are here and other options too. They have all the popular fruits and vegetables needed in every home of a Nigerian so I don't think there's any special one I would want them to add.
The store owner is really putting in the best for top notch services and I don't think there's any special thing to point out for improvement. The store is neat, well arranged, easy to shop by just picking your desired item or by just calling them out for the sales attendants to select.
Payment receipt when I visited
Payments are made easy either by transfer, cash or with card. After purchasing few items I needed for breakfast, I made payment with transfer and it was confirmed instantly.
The store is opposite Kelson International School so I’m going to use the school as the landmark since the shop address is not on the map.
