Steemit Engagement Challenge | S11-W4 | A Hat for Steemit-ironchef
Hello Beautiful People!
Today I am very excited to participate in this week's contest organized by Steemit Iron Chef Community. As crafting and making creative things is one of my hobbies so Today I will show how we can make this beautiful Chef hat at home.
Material Required
- White Cotton cloth
- Buckram
- White thread
- Sewing machine (You can stitch it with hands.)
- Embroidery hoop
- Blue and black embroidery thread
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Pen
Procedure:
STEP #1
- Take a white fabric and with the help of measuring tape,
- Measure 17 Inches length and 17 inches width.
- For the upper part we need this 17 by 17 square.
- Now, with the help of scissor Cut the fabric and we will get a square piece.
STEP #2
- Now fold the square cloth 3 times into a triangle shape.
- Now measure 8.5 inch from top to the bottom.
- Measure the whole piece and remember to keep on marking at 8.5".
- Now join all the dots.
- with the help of scissors cut on the line and tada your beautiful circle is ready.
STEP #3
- Now with the help of machine, stitch on all the sides of the circle.
- Stitch loosely.
- Now pull on thread from the stitch and make a frill type, its for the top part.
- Keep aside.
STEP #4
- For the bottom belt we will take a piece of same white fabric and measure it.
- I have taken 24 inches in width and 5.5 inches height.
- Cut this rectangular piece and keep aside.
STEP #5
- Take Buckram half the measurements of the bottom piece.
- Keep the buckram piece on the cloth and Iron it so that it will stick to the cloth and make it more stiff.
- Now fold both the sides of the cloth on the buckram and iron it once again to make it even.
STEP #6
- Once this piece is ironed and ready, I will stitch both the pieces together with the help of sewing machine.
- You can hand stitch this too.
- In the end stitch the open end of the bottom piece and we are good to go.
STEP #7
- Take the embroidery hoop.
- I have draw steemit logo on it.
- Now with the help of blue embroidery thread start filling the logo.
- Once its done, move the hoop o the left side.
- With the help of pen I have written Iron Chef.
- Now I will use black thread to make these.
- And its done!!
