I hope all my chef friends are well and healthy. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am also well. I invite all my chef friends to my another recipe blog. Today I will share with you a Chicken Biriyani Recipe in the Contest: Recipe of the Day. Week No.98 competition organized by @dasudi mam in the Steemit Iron Chef community.

Making Process

Step 1

First, I put a pan on the stove, lightly heat the oil in the pan, and add a cup of chopped onion to the oil. Fry the chopped onion until brown on low heat. Once the onion is browned, remove one-third of the fried onion and place in a separate bowl.

Step 2:

I added ginger paste, garlic paste, readymix biryani masala, sour curd, and milk to the remaining onion. Although the biryani readymix has all kinds of spices, I added chili powder, salt, and cumin powder for extra flavor in the biryani. Then I stirred all the ingredients and mixed them, and sautéed them until oil appeared on top of the spices.

Step 3:

After frying the spices, when the oil rises to the top, I added the chicken pieces to the spices. Then I stirred everything and left the lid of the pot open for some time. When the chicken was mixed with the spices, I closed the lid of the pot and cooked it for fifteen minutes to cook the chicken well. I removed the lid occasionally and stirred it so that it did not stick to the bottom of the pot. When the oil from the spices rises to the top of the chicken, you will know that the chicken is well cooked.

Step 4:

At this stage, I fried the washed and drained rice in another pot with ghee on the stove for ten minutes on medium heat. When the rice was fried, I added double the amount of hot boiling water and a cup of milk. Then, I closed the pot and cooked the rice 80%, keeping the stove on medium heat.

Step 5:

When the rice is half cooked, I add the pre-cooked chicken, fried onions, raisins and green chillies. Then I cover the pot and cook for another fifteen minutes on low heat. After cooking, stir everything and you have a delicious chicken biryani.

Step 6:

Hot Chicken Biryani is ready to be enjoyed. Chicken Biryani is popular as a sumptuous dish to celebrate any festive occasion due to its fragrant rice and tender meat.
