Daily Menu Delicacies (08 December 2023) | Homemade, Make A Melted Moist Cake, Bohromrom 🍡
Hello all chef friends around the world, how are you? Hopefully always in healthy 🌸.
Today, as usual, I woke up early and prepared breakfast. Talking about the morning food menu, there are many different types of breakfast, both heavy and light, in various parts of the world which are influenced by customs, culture and habits. Well, in the village where I live, the breakfast menu usually starts with a cup of coffee and a piece of moist cake (not fried).
And coincidentally, my daughter asked to make breakfast with klepon cake or what we usually call "Bohromrom". This is a type of food made from sticky rice flour with pandan leaf extract, filled with brown sugar and also a sprinkling of grated coconut with sugar. Because the children were also awake, they helped make it together.
For the ingredients, maybe you can see them here. The sticky rice flour that will be used must be smooth and with the addition of pandan leaf extract which is the source of the cake.
Apart from that, we also have to provide brown sugar as the filling so that when we bite into it, this cake gives the impression of being sweet and full of flavor. Don't forget another important thing, namely grated coconut with a little sugar and salt.
As for the dough, this cake has a round shape. The dough is ready to be boiled in boiling water and will float when it is cooked. When it's cooked, lift it and immediately coat it in the grated coconut mixture so that it sticks perfectly.
Well, this delicious Bohromrom cake is ready to be eaten. Usually, these cakes are shaped into small rounds so that one won't be enough to eat. And yes, even though it is simple, my daughter really enjoys and likes her lunch. I'm sure you like it too and the making process is also very easy.
