Hey My Sweet Steemians Chefs Aslamoalaikum. 🤗

Hey Its Maryam Nadeem from Pakistan. Come once again to share My Best Breakfast with all guys. Here in Pakistan, we make a lot of traditional breakfasts which people eat with great enthusiasm as breakfast. Today I will share with you the recipe of this traditional breakfast, this paratha which is very famous here. I hope you will like it.

Ingredients 😌

Pickled radish2 kg
Red Chilli Powder2 tbsp
Salt1.5 tbsp
Turmeric1 tbsp
Coriander powder1 tbsp
Chopped corianderA fist


Share your before-and-after dish (original + global twist) you can add the processes and give the name and origin of your local breakfast.

Preparation 😀

  • Above I have shared all the ingredients with you guys and now I will tell you how I made the radish paste which we will use inside the paratha. First of all I took two kilos of radishes and after grating them, squeezed out their water and put them in a frying pan and then I added salt, chopped red chillies, turmeric and dried coriander to it and started frying them well and added a little oil in it so that our radishes do not stick to the bottom of the frying pan. Then when you see that the water in the radishes is drying up, add coriander to it. Coriander is used only for flavoring and for testing. Its flavor is very delicious.

  • When your radishes are completely ready, put them on a plate and let them cool down well because when they are to be applied on top of the paratha, the paratha can break due to the heat. Therefore, first let them cool down well and then apply them on top of the paratha. After that, I kept the radishes for a while to cool down and started preparing the dough balls on one side. After preparing one dough ball, I put the radish paste inside it and placed the second ball on top of it. I have made a small video of it which I would like to share with you so that you people know how it is applied on top of the paratha. Short video while making 👇👇👇



  • This video will help you guys to see how I applied radish paste on one side and placed the other side on top of it and joined its corners well so that our paratha does not break.

  • Then I very calmly made the paratha round and applied it on the tawa and then started adding a little oil on it. Remember that whenever you want to prepare a delicious paratha, you put more oil on it so that the paratha can be fried well and the paratha is crispy and delicious to eat.
  • The paratha should be lightly fried on a low flame so that a light brownish color appears on the surface of the paratha because burnt paratha is not tasty at all. Therefore, it is very good to fry the paratha on a low flame so that the look of the paratha also looks very beautiful and the paratha is also delicious.

What global element or idea did you add to give it a twist?

By the way, this paratha is very delicious and to give it a good twist, it is very important to have tea with it because its name is Radish Paratha. In urdu our language ( Moule wala Parhata).

How did the new version taste or look compared to the original?

Its taste is very delicious. Many people make it like a raw paste and apply it on paratha as it is not fried. But we fry it, cook it well, cool it and apply it on paratha. Its taste is very delicious. Some people use more salt and spices in it and some people use more salt but we kept it medium because there is a blood pressure patient in our house, due to which we apply less salt. Its taste is very delicious. Radish is very good for digestion anyway. Radish plays a good role in digestion and digestion is controlled.


What inspired your creativity in this dish?

What impresses me the most is its taste because the taste of radishes in paratha is very delicious. In winter, radishes become very delicious and sweet and their paratha becomes very tasty and delicious. On the other hand, if you think about it, it is very good for constipation, as I have mentioned above that fingers are very useful for constipation, so these things impressed me the most.


  • Now lastly I want to show you guys the final presentation of it when my paratha was completely cooked and I served it with chutney and tea. Paratha is very delicious with tea which I like very much. This paratha is especially prepared for breakfast with tea.

My family has eaten this paratha with great enthusiasm. My children also eat this paratha with great enthusiasm because it tastes very good in the house and this paratha is very delicious for breakfast. This paratha is eaten as a tradition in our Pakistan and it is also a traditional breakfast. Many people eat paratha with great enthusiasm for breakfast. I hope you people liked my breakfast. In Bangladesh this news is known as Muler Parota. Although I have never tried parata with tea, after reading your post I will try parata with tea. As a global twist you have suggested serving it with tea which is a new idea and I hope it was really delicious. Can you tell me whether I should try it with milk tea or liqueur tea? Which one will be better? It is good to know that your kids liked this dish.

Thank you very much for your excellent comment on my post. Yes, in every country, every paratha has a different name and every paratha is known in a different way. Here in Pakistan, it is called Moli Ka Paratha, which is in our language. Yes, it was very delicious. Here in Pakistan, many people eat this paratha with tea in the morning for breakfast and it is very delicious with tea. You must try it at home and you can make this tea according to your own taste, just like you can make milk tea, but I made milk tea which is made from fresh buffalo milk. Thanks for your comment. 🥰🤗
