STEEMIT IRON CHEF 2021 ACT 1 ROUND 09 : PINEAPPLE DECLINATION AND COCONUT LOLLIPOP!
For the 9th Round of SIC, the Chef asked the contestants to prepare their best recipe they can imagine with pineapples!
Actually pineapple in itself is an amazing product, so sweet, so fleshy, juicy and tasty - We can really do magical recipe with pineapple!
But for my entry this time, I wanted to concentrate more on the main product itself and prepare it in different ways we usually enjoy it in my country!
It is quite an easy to reproduce plate, hope you try it some day!
Let me show you my PINEAPPLE DECLINATION AND COCONUT LOLLIPOP!
I mainly used pineapples in this plate and couple of other basic ingredients like sugar, butter, vinegar, sweet cherries, mint and star anis.
On the plate I served pineapples in 4 ways :
- Caramelized
This is how I proceeded : Peel the pineapple and cut in 8 pcs as you can see below...
Simply add little butter in a pan and place the pineapple. Let caramelize with its own sugar, or you can add sugar or honey if your pineapple is not sweet enough!
Add star anis and cardamom for a nice flavor.
- Poached
For this one, I add sugar with vinegar and bring to a boil. Then I added 1 red chili.
Take your pineapple and let cook for around 5 minutes in that boiling mixture. Make sure not to overcook...
- Compote
The third way is making a compote - simply cut a part of the pineapple in small brunoise and sautéed with butter. I added little agave syrup and little coconut extract.
- Raw
And the fourth way is...serving it raw as it is...
The pineapple I got for using was of top quality...so sweet with an amazing smell!
Below are the different preps done with my pineapple ready for plating!
Ooops before I forgot, the coconut lollipop I had already made in my fridge, I love making these lollipops with all products of the season and stock them!

I think by now you know very much how fun I have when plating my dish...
So as usual I made it freestyle...

Saludos amigo estoy triste no pude partisipar ya que mi esposo en hora de la madrugada comenzó a sentirse mal de salud y estube que salir a realizar unos exámenes bueno pero para la ronda que viene con el favor de mi Dios estoy.
