"SLC30-W2" // "The Street Food Gastronomic Route" - Hot Drink Stalls.
Dear friends, I hope you are all well. I am also very well, Alhamdulillah, by the infinite mercy of Allah. I will discuss with you a shop which is famous in our area. It is basically a tea stall located next to a station. However, this hotel sells Malai tea. So people come from far and wide to eat Malai tea of this hotel.
People can easily come here. Because it is located near the station. You can get off the train at the station and go to that tea stall. The hotel is next to the station platform. This is a famous institution in our Saidpur city. It is located in Saidpur upazila of Nilphamari district of Rangpur division. It is known as Bismillah tea stall. During the month of Ramadan, the shop was covered with cloth. So I could not take a picture with the name of the shop. I am very sorry for this. 4 layer tea and Malai tea are available here.
To come to this tea stall, you have to come to Saidpur station. If you get down at Saidpur bus terminal, you have to pay 50 tk rickshaw fare to come to the station. And if you come by train. Then you will reach very easily. Because it is located in the area adjacent to the station. The name of this shop is Bismillah tea stall. You can eat hot 4 layer tea and Malai tea there. Apart from that, you can get bundiya, roasted chickpeas, nimki etc.
This is a small tea stall adjacent to the station. Where there are only two-three sitting tables. This tea stall opens at 7 am and remains open till 12 midnight. The environment of this hotel is not very good. A large amount of 4 layer tea and Malai tea is sold here. People stand on the street or sit inside the tea stall and have tea. The crowd of people starts here after evening. The crowd remains till 12 midnight. Here, everyone from young and old to children and adults can easily come and have tea. Some details about the arrangements are presented below.

Bismillah tea stall sells the most Malai tea. Malai is made with thick Milk cheese. Here Malai was kept in a separate big pot. And water and Tea leaves were mixed in a kettle and heated on the stove. There is a boy here who makes tea. The boy first put light milk and Malai in a glass. Then he mixed it with 1 pinch of sugar. Then he put hot water and Tea leaves mixed in a glass. This made the upper part of the glass turn red. Then he gave me that tea to drink. It is called Malai tea.
| Drink Name | Food Quantity | BDT Price | Steem Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Milk Tea | One Cup | 10 Tk | 1.37 Steem |
| Malai Tea | One Cup | 20 Tk | 2.7 Steem |
| 4 layer tea | One Cup | 40 Tk | 5.48 Steem |
| Red Tea | One Cup | 5 Tk | 0.68 Steem |
The tea shop is small but the tea they make is amazing. Selling tea is a profitable business. But they make very good quality tea. That's why their shop is always crowded. Especially after evening. I went there in the afternoon. It is Ramadan month so the shop was surrounded by cloth. I had to remove the cloth and enter inside. I went inside and first had them make Malai Cha. Then I tasted the tea. I liked the tea very much. I videoed the entire scene of making tea. And took pictures of the shop.
✓ ¿Cuál es tu bebida caliente preferida (por ejemplo: café, té, chocolate o infusiones) y con qué frecuencia la consumes?
In our country, many types of hot drinks are sold. Among them are red tea, milk tea, and green tea, malai tea etc. I like malai tea more. Besides, I like to drink milk tea. I went to Bismillah tea stall near the station on the afternoon of the 12th. And had a glass of malai tea there. malai tea is in the highest demand in this shop. Another thing is, I like to drink malai tea 1 to 2 times a day. Usually, I drink 3-4 cups of plain milk tea every day. I also like to drink plain milk tea. However, I drink malai tea at least once a day when I go to the station. It is a very favorite food for me.

✓ ¿Te gusta acompañar tu bebida con algún alimento especial (como galletas, pan o torta) o prefieres disfrutarla sola?
I can answer this question from my own experience. There are many classes of people in our country. Their eating habits are also different. Some like to eat puffed rice with tea. Some like to eat cake or biscuits with tea. Some like to eat bread with tea. But from my personal preference, I like to eat malai tea with bread.
✓ ¿Ofrece esta tienda alguna bebida especial o de temporada que no se encuentre en otros lugares, o solo vende las opciones tradicionales?
The special food here is 4 layer tea and Malai tea. These foods are available here all year round. This is not a seasonal food. And this 4 layer tea and Malai tea is also available in other places. The traditional food in this shop is malai tea. The shop owner is making a lot of profit by selling this malai tea. And through it, 3-4 people have been provided employment.
