There are beef shops in different places in our region, but there is a shop in the beef market in Joydevpur, which we know, from which we always buy meat. This shop has three types of meat, namely cow, buffalo, and khasi. This shop is closed one day a week, which is Tuesday, meaning meat is available here every day except Tuesday until morning. However, their shop has more customer demand on Fridays because Fridays are more popular in the market.

The shop is located in a large area and the shop has several types of customers who cut the meat of cow, buffalo, or khasi into different pieces and a cashier. There is a digital meter for selling meat here and there is a lighting fan. One of the advantages of this shop is that if you buy a large amount of meat here, you are given some discount, besides the employees are very good. However, if you buy meat from here, you must pay in cash, but if you have any special needs, you can pay in bKash if the cashier asks.

This shop is the first shop in the meat market inside Joydevpur Market. The name of the shop is Sakal Sandhya Gost Bitan. It is connected to Shibbari Road from Joydevpur through the railway station inside the market and the meat market is located on this road. I went there at night, so their meat was almost finished. From my experience, I can say that the service of this shop is very good compared to other shops.

✓ How often do you buy meat or fish from this establishment?

There are a few beef shops in this market in Joydevpur and beef is available here. Along with beef, buffalo meat and veal are also available here. Most of our people here buy meat from this fish market. My husband has eaten meat from this shop a few times so we are familiar with the shop. Meat is sold here every day according to customer demand, but on Fridays, the demand for meat is higher than in other places.

Today was also Friday and we had guests coming to our house so my husband and I went to cook beef at night. The meat seller sells meat all day so there is not much meat to sell at night. However, due to good luck, we got meat today at night so we bought 2.5 kg of meat from there. The purchase price of the meat was 1875 taka which is 250 taka steam price. That is, we buy meat from here according to our needs. Although we do not need meat every day, we sometimes buy meat from this shop to fulfill the lack of non-vegetarian food and in this case, we buy meat from this shop.

✓ When shopping at these shops, which thing do you value the most: low price, cleanliness, or friendly service?

This question will reveal everyone's personal attitude. Meat is a non-vegetarian food that is very necessary for our body. So if the meat is clean and formalin-free, it is good for our health. In the market, many meats are available at low prices, which are unclean and harmful to health, so it is better for us to avoid them. So I always try to buy meat that is clean and good for health from a known shop. In words, good at such a price means good. So I never think about buying meat at a low price. I think that by buying the best quality meat, I can meet the needs of my family.

Besides, familiarity and service are also somewhat necessary in buying meat because good quality meat can be purchased from a known shop without any hesitation and service is also available, which is difficult to get from unfamiliar or other shops.

✓ How do you consider the prices of this place compared to other establishments in your area?

The price of meat in Bangladesh is relatively high compared to before. However, everyone tries to meet the meat needs of their families. The seller adds all the costs and profits to the price of the meat sold. For example, a meat seller's shop has different types of employees, such as cutting cows, buffaloes or khasi, starting from selling them. Currently, along with the increase in the prices of various goods, the salary of the employees has increased, and the meat seller has to buy cows, buffaloes or khasi for more money, which is why he has to sell them at a higher price.

However, since we bought beef from a known shop, the meat seller kept some money less from us. We are happy to get good quality meat and some money less meat.
