COMMUNITIES OF THE MONTH SUPPORT PROGRAM - OCTOBER 2021 : Steemit Iron Chef Community is rocking it since the support started 2 months back!!! Let's aim for the big package now!
Greetings of the day everyone!
I hope this post finds you well! We have already reached that time of the month to make our application for the communities of the month support program!
I think this is a great idea making our application each month as it also gives us the opportunity to share the different progress SIC has made since the start of the support by the Steemit Team!
After 2 month of the booming support, I firmly believe that for the month of October we can get bigger support as the growth of SIC has been phenomenal recently and we need more support to keep the momentum!
So let's go for it!
Community Purpose
I will be brief here as nearly everyone knows what Steemit Iron Chef Community is all about!!!
SIC is all about food and beverages! We started with the Steemit Iron Chef Cooking Contest and we have completed 18 weeks/rounds of competition already...
Last week, we added the second contest in our community named : #foodcolorchallenge - which is run daily with each day a different color assigned!
The goal is to have minimum 5 different food/beverages contest running in our community - top quality contest!
I am sharing the 2 previous applications below so that you can get much more info on our purpose :

Just as a reminder : We have been selected the past 2 months for the tier 1 booming support!
Community Team
@progressivechef started this community alone and now he has been joined by @sanuri - who took over the foodcolorchallenge as it was impossible for only 1 people to handle such a big community!
As mentioned above, the goal is to have different contests running at the same time...which means we will need more people to enter the community team! We are already in discussion with some foodies and by next week we will announce 2 or 3 more joining us as mod as well as contest organizer!
Yeah...SIC is growing and we need more people to handle it!
Community Curation Account
The 2 main account which curate the posts in our community are : My account and that of @progressivechef!
12000 SP!!!
With couple of foodies who delegated some SP to us, now we have a combined power of 12000 Steem Power and growing each day!
It is not that big amount, but please note we are only couple of months old...by 2022 we should be very much bigger!
We will once again ask for members to delegate some SP to us to help us grow much quicker and the other way we are growing our SP and finding funds for our contests is to make it mandatory for all members to put my account as post beneficiary!
These actions are working nicely and if we get bigger support, for sure we will grow even more!
Engagement & Commenting
I can proudly say that we are among the most engaged community of all...simply look at our active member percentage will give you an idea!!!
Over 12% Active Members!!!
Not many communities can achieve such a score...and we are doing it!!! So a big thanks to all those who are active and producing top quality food posts in SIC!!!
Nearly all our posts have a lot of comments with many reaching over 25-40 comments! Again a huge round of applause for all those engaging and commenting!
Just for you to get an idea of how great our growth is these days...on our first application back in August, we had 710 subscribers!!!
Then in September application we reached 835 subs and now we are over a thousand...

Just imagine if we get the big fat support from @steemcurator01...things will go parabolic for us!!! let's have our fingers crossed!!!
Plans & Updates
After the successful launch of the foodcolorchallenge , now we are in discussion with 3 more foodies who showed interest to join our leadership team...
SIC has plans to be THE PLACE to be for all foodies - everyone will find something to their likings and thanks to different contest running everyday we will achieve it!
For now : Steemit Iron Chef cooking contest is handled by @progressivechef and #foodcolorchallenge by @sanuri
Expect 3 more creative contests coming up by next month...we are in the stage of finalization and will announce soon!!!
We have some exciting things which will be rolled out soon in SIC...but can't disclose them for now!!! What I can confirm is that...these actions will make a huge impact on Steemit itself, so just wait for it!!!
We are the Steemit Cooking Contest Arena!!!
Does your community have a strong enough message to attract people to Steem?
Absolutely YES!!!
Food contents and foodies are the dominant on all social medias - there's nothing to discuss on this! And we need to build a nice place to accommodate these foodies and SIC is the place to be for them!
We are working hard in growing our SP and once we can self sustain, things will develop much quicker!
Originality and Creativity!
I will say it loud : SIC IS AMONG THE MOST CREATIVE AND ORIGINAL COMMUNITY OF ALL!!!
Not only on the Steem blockchain but on all blockchains around!!!
A simple check on our posts will give you an idea!!! And anyway...we are backed by a professional chef with other 20yrs of experience in the field, so we know our homework very well and we are well guided to achieve excellence!
External Promotion
The members are encouraged to share maximum on Twitter and other social media platform - each action counts, never forget!
Very soon we will roll out our biggest action to make some more noise of Steem/Steemit/SIC...no one has done it before and we are happy to be the first one to start doing it...
Approach restaurateur around the world...
With the contacts that the chef and many of our members, we will be approaching restaurants around and show them another way of making income specially with the difficulty everyone is facing with Covid19!
This action can bring in many users (professional chefs!!!) as well as investors if we hit the nail where it should be hit!
Just imagine for a minute...restaurants around the world accepting Steem/SBD as payment and have signed up their staffs on Steemit...

But but but...
We need that big support to get this running at full potential!!!
Closing words!
To end this application post, I have to remind everyone that we started at nearly zero sp 5 months back and now we can proudly say we have worked hard and made a lot of sacrifice to build up that 12000 SP!!!
And for sure this will not stop here...the more support we receive, the more will be powered up!!!
We are serious Steemians who believe in Steemit and will make us heard thanks to our actions!!!
I really hope to be selected as a top 7 community for the month of October, the members really deserve more and also we will grow our SP much bigger!

I was amazed by the way that the authors will make a plating with the foods in their contents. It seems that the other participants tried to perform like a true chef. I hope that I can be part of this community. I want to support their applications for the monthly support program
