I’m Arsalan Khatri from Pakistan, and I hope you’re all doing well. I’m back with another exciting Recipe of the Day – Week 85. Today’s feature is a warm and nourishing Chicken Daleem — a classic dish made by slow-cooking chicken with a blend of lentils and grains until it transforms into a rich, hearty masterpiece. It’s full of flavor, packed with nutrition, and perfect for family meals, gatherings, or anytime you want something deeply satisfying and comforting.

Ingredient Quantity
Boneless Chicken 750 grams
Chicken Bones 300 grams
Onions (Medium) 2
Garlic-Ginger Paste 1–2 tbsp (as required)
Cooking Oil 2–4 tbsp (as required)
Daleem Easy Cook Mix 1 packet

Cooking Method

1. Fry the onions:
Heat half a cup of oil, add one medium onion, and fry until golden brown.

2. Add meat and ginger-garlic paste:
Add ginger-garlic paste, meat, and bones. Sauté for a few minutes.

3. Add the spice mix:
Add Sachet B (Haleem Masala Mix) from Mehran Haleem Mix Easy Cook and fry well.

4. Cook the meat:
Add 5 cups of water, cover, and cook on medium heat until the meat becomes tender. (You may also use a pressure cooker.)

5. Separate meat from bones:
Once the meat is cooked, remove the gravy and separate the meat from the bones. Discard the bones.

6. Prepare the grains mixture:
In 2–3 cups of water, dissolve Sachet A (Processed Grains & Pulses Mix) and mix well.

7. Combine everything:
Add this mixture to the cooked meat and gravy. Cook on medium heat for 30–35 minutes while stirring.

8. Add fried onion (tarka):
Fry the remaining onion in the leftover oil and pour it over the haleem.

9. Give final simmer (dum):
Cover the pot and cook on low heat for another 5–10 minutes.

Final Presentation

Your dish is ready! Serve hot and enjoy it with your family and friends.
