Today’s feature is a flavorful and aromatic Potato & Green Pea Curry — a classic dish made by cooking tender potatoes with green peas, tomatoes, spices, and herbs until it turns into a rich, bold, and mouthwatering masterpiece. It’s full of flavor, packed with warmth, and perfect for family meals, gatherings, or anytime you’re craving something truly satisfying and comforting.

Ingredient Quantity
Potatoes ½ kilogram
Green peas 1 cup
Onions 2
Tomatoes 3
Green chilies 2
Ginger paste 2 teaspoons
Salt 1 teaspoon (or to taste)
Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
Ground coriander 1 teaspoon
Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
Oil ½ cup
Fresh coriander For garnish

Cooking Method

1️⃣ Heat Oil & Fry Onions

Heat ½ cup oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and fry until golden brown.

2️⃣ Add Ginger-Garlic

Mix in 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute.

3️⃣ Add Spices

Add 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp ground coriander, and 1 tsp red chili powder. Fry for a few seconds.

4️⃣ Add Tomatoes

Add 3 chopped tomatoes and a little water. Cover and cook until soft.

5️⃣ Cook Potatoes & Peas

Add potatoes and 1 cup peas. Pour in 1 glass of water, cover, and cook until tender.

6️⃣ Add Green Chilies

Add 2 chopped green chilies and simmer for a few minutes.

Delicious and colorful, served hot in a bowl, garnished with fresh coriander—perfect with roti or rice.
