How to plant rose flowers post by @javedkhan123 // 10.12.2022

My greetings to all
Rose is one of the popular flowers among people. Despite the thorns in many gardens, these are beautiful plants. Their great beauty and pleasant fragrance make them successful. However, reproducing them can be a little tricky. For this, the easiest and cheapest method is through cuttings. It is clear that you have to know how to apply this technique. For this reason, in this article I will tell you how to plant roses.

If you want to know how to prune roses, you should keep this in mind. There are four different techniques for doing this. The most traditional is to use a pot with a substrate. However, there are three other methods that we will explain in this section: using potatoes, plastic bags or growing in hydroponics. But what these four different techniques have in common is that roses should always be harvested at a temperature between 18ºC and 21ºC, with plenty of humidity and no direct sunlight.

Cuttings in a pot with substrate.

We begin by talking about the most traditional method when it comes to reproducing rose bushes by cuttings. It's basically a matter of filling a pot with peat-filled substrate and placing the cuttings in it. There are substrates specifically designed for cutting. Before placing the pegs we should slightly moisten the substrate and apply the rooting agent. In case it was very hot, a good option is to cover the pot so that excess sweat and water do not escape regularly. If we want the cutting to grow directly in the garden, we can plant it as long as it is in a shaded area.

Rose buds in potatoes.

We can drive stakes with cut potatoes instead of driving them directly into the substrate. The potato will help retain moisture and provide nutrients to the bite. However, using this method does not mean that we can do without a substrate. Once the roots start to grow, we need to transplant the cutting into the ground or substrate.

Hydroponic cultivation.

Another way to plant roses is to grow them in hydroponics. In this case the cutting or cuttings are kept in water. With a cut at the bottom we will improve the capacity. For this technique we will need special tubes and preparation of perlite, peat and vermiculite. This will help the cutting absorb moisture. We must not forget to use rooting hormones and later ensure that conditions are maintained properly, such as humidity.

Finally, we have to comment on the plastic bag method. This is a variant of the traditional technique, but replacing containers with plastic bags. In this way we will be able to create a kind of mini greenhouse. When they start to develop roots and their first leaves, they can be transplanted into pots or directly into the garden. The results of this method are good because it avoids excessive sweating.

As you can see, pruning roses is not very complicated. So if we already have roses, we can try this method next spring or fall.
