We have been very involved in the Steemit Engagement challenge for the forth week now of season 2 and this community has not disappointed with amazing contest. We have through the group shown our love for our environment and more, today is a unique opportunity for us to share and know more about ourselves. This is wonderful.

Well, I will be joining the rest of the steemians all around the world today to talk about my Job/Occupation. I plead to say I will not really be talking about my job of current because I resigned as at the 25/06/2022 to concentrate and Steem. So what was my occupation.
LOAN OFFICER.
I worked with the Aghem cooperative credit union (ACCUL). This is a category one microfinance institution that is located in Wum, in the Menchum division of the North West Region of Cameroon. As a microfinance institution, it is own by members and the main purpose of this is institution is to provide funding/credit to the poor and underprivileged persons in Rural areas who are not able to have access to a bank.
Who is a Loan officer.
A loan officer like the name rightly says is the person that in charge of granting loan or credit to members who want it.
As I already mentioned, I was the loan officer till 25/06/2022 and I did love to an extent my job. My duties as a loan officer involved
- Granting of Loan to members.
- Face to face interview with members who want loans. This is to understand what the member want and in return, determine the members credit worthiness.
- Increase Membership of the union through Sensitisation campaign. As a loan officer the main duty is to increase the loan portfolio of the union. The main way to do that is by increasing membership.
- Loan recovery. When you give a loan to a member, you have to follow up the member to see he repays his debt. As a loan officer, I was charged with the duty to recover Loan.
- Prepare monthly Loan reports that gives the loan situation of the Union.
The above duties were pretty interesting. The most interesting thing I had was the direct contact with members. I love feeling like I helped a member to accomplish his or her goals. The feeling of fulfilment was great for me. It's rather unfortunate that it took me away from Steemit and I have invested so much of my time on this platform so I decided to part ways with the job.
I have through this post talked about the job I used to do. It is or was an interesting job but the complete fulfilment was absent and more to that, it took me away from what I love doing which is Steemit. I am quite happy I was there but it's time to look to a new chapter in life.

Yes that's true. As loan officer you have to interact with a lot of people and help them. I am very happy offering my heart and advice to these people. You have a certain degree of happiness when you see the people taking loan from you successful

Hola @ebuahsang1 pienso que cuando las personas que requerían un préstamo te veían se alegraban pues podrías ser su tabla de salvación para conseguir sus sueños. Imagino cada cara de felicidad al otorgar el crédito.
I see the job everywhere in a microfinance bank, a loan officer investigate too much🤣, I remember presenting myself as a guarantor for a brother that want to secure a loan, I was asked several questions before the procedures are of borrowing were presented step-by-step but in the end, we were granted the money and as of today my brother became what he his because of the loan he was granted.
You have help many by rendering loan to small scale business but the disadvantages I see there is that some people when they can't afford the return anymore they run away leaving the guarantor to fill the space or some guarantor to hit the road😁

Wow. I am very happy to know your brother benefited from a loan. Yes our job is to ask and ask questions and determine if the borrower can repay the loan.
That's why as a guarantor you should be able to know the character of the person you are guaranteeing. It's very important.
